Emerson Fittipaldi; born December 12, 1946) is a semi-retired Brazilian automobile racing driver who won both the Formule One World Championship and the Indianapolis 500 twice each and the CART championship once. Moving up from formula Two, Fittipaldi made his race debut for Team Lotus as a third driver at the 1970 British Grand Prix . After Jochen Rindt was killed at the 1970 Italian grand Prix, then the Brazilian became Lotus' lead driver in only his fifth Grand Prix. He enjoyed considerable success with Lotus, winning the World Drivers Championship in 1972 at the age of 25, a youngest F1 world champion record that he held for 33 years. He later moved to Mc Laren for 1974, winning the title once again. He surprised the paddock by moving to his brother's Fittipaldi Automotive team prior to the 1976 season, being replaced by James Hunt. Success eluded him during his final years in Formula One, with the Fittipaldi cars not competitive enough to fight for victories. Fittipaldi took two more podium finishes, before retiring in 1980. Following his Formula One career, Fittipaldi moved to the American CART series, achieving successful results, including the 1989 CART title and two wins at the INDIANAPOLIS 500 (in 1989 and 1993). After the latter victory, Fittipaldi angered American motorsport fans by breaking Indianapolis tradition when he drank a glass of orange juice instead of the ceremonial milk.
Emerson Fittipaldi has always been socially conscious and has a desire to help foster a better society for the children of the world. He is a founding member of the Laureus World Sports for Good Foundation. He is also currently developing the Emerson Fittipaldi Institute, to help foster social programs in Brazil. Laureus Sports for Good Foundation The Laureus Sports for Good Foundation is the social arm of the Laureus World Sports Academy. It was formed under the belief that sport is a very powerful tool in the fight to fix many social problems in the world. The Laureus Sports for Good Foundation supports social programs throughout the world by encouraging and aiding the practice of sports. Emerson Fittipaldi is one of the founding members of Laureus and has donated his time and efforts to bringing the Foundation to Brazil. The Foundation is currently helping two very worthy projects in Brazil: the Meninos do Morumbi Project in SĂŁo Paulo and the Luta pela Paz Project in Rio de Janeiro.

The much-anticipated Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo was released at the Geneva Motor Show 2017. The Pininfarinadesigned ultra-light, all carbon fiber supercar is the vision of F1 and Indy Car racing champion Emerson Fittipaldi. It has been brought to life through Pininfarina and German engineering firm HWA AG. The EF7 Vision Gran Turismo is the first car to be released under the Fittipaldi Motors marque. It will get a limited production run with every EF7 owner having the opportunity to benefit from personal coaching by Emerson Fittipaldi himself and move up a driver-training ladder designed by the racing champion. It gets a naturally aspirated V8 engine although very few actual detail has been announced. The integrated gearbox, suspension and braking system have all been developed by HWA AG in combination with an ultra-lightweight, all carbon fiber chassis construction. The amount is around $1.5M
