PRESS RELEASE A TEST FOR TYING THE KNOT – OR: THE BADRUTT’S PALACE LICENCE TO WED ST. MORITZ, September 2013 – The traditional hotel dating back to 1896 is the ideal venue for any future bride to plan her dream wedding; for the husband-to-be the hotel is now the perfect place to hold his stag event of a different kind – his friends put him to a marriage test at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel. Laundry supervisor Sandra will be keeping her eagle eyes on the bachelor who has been booked in by friends to test his capabilities of becoming a modern husband. The »Badrutt’s Palace License to Wed« requires him to pass a washing and ironing test before Butler Josef examines the bachelor’s aptitude as a true gentleman and Executive Chef Mauro Taufer savours his skills in preparing a Sunday meal for the in-laws. If the husband-to-be passes all tests with flying colours then he and his friends will be taken down by Rolls- Royce to the cable-car of Muottas Muragl where the group will experience the last wild adventure by toboggan before the bachelor luges safely into wedded bliss. Alternatively, in summer, the boys will be driven down to Lake St. Moritz where the hotel’s own sailing boat, the »Badrutt’s Palace,« and skipper will be waiting for them to go on a speedy sailing-trip. After these exhausting activities, the bachelor and his friends will go to the ›Palace Wellness‹ for a relaxing visit, followed by an extensive tour around the legendary Palace Wine Cellar with Sommelier Guiseppe. Then the predominantly male team of chefs get the group of friends to join them for a culinary masterpiece in the informal atmosphere of the Chef’s Table. During dinner the Head Concierge drops by to explain the next part of the evening’s entertainment. Even in St. Moritz they cannot miss out on a fun ‘pub crawl’ – this test of endurance begins in the ›Renaissance Bar‹ with a “San Moritzino” and ends in the legendary ›King’s Club,‹ where on this unforgettable night the groom is ceremoniously presented with his »Badrutt’s Palace License to Wed«. The »Badrutt’s Palace License to Wed« Package is available from 5th December 2013 for a minimum of four people and comprises two nights’ stay in Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in a Superior Single Room priced from CHF 1'480.00 and from CHF 2'450.00 in a Superior Double Room (including breakfast, refreshment bar, movie channels and WiFi Internet),
