PRESS RELEASE CANDY STORE-THEMED NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY; FAIRIES, PIRATES AND CELEBRITY CHEF WOLFGANG PUCK, ALL FEATURE AT BADRUTT’S PALACE HOTEL THIS WINTER SEASON ST. MORITZ, October 2013 – If you believe that the winter season in glamorous St. Moritz is all about caviar, champagne and equestrian events, you would be much mistaken. On New Year’s Eve 2013 Badrutt’s Palace Hotel will transform into a colourful »Candy Store«, followed by the celebrity guest chef appearance of Wolfgang Puck in ›Le Restaurant‹ during the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival. Meanwhile fairies and pirates take over at the legendary ›King’s Club‹ and delight guests with new themed party experiences. While the horses are put through their paces training for the »St. Moritz Polo World Cup on Snow« (30th January to 2nd February 2014), the pace is also heating up in the Badrutt’s Palace Hotel kitchen. Visiting guest chef Pietro Leemann of Michelin Star awarded restaurant »Joia« in Milan, will join Executive Chef Mauro Taufer from 16th to 18th January 2014 (price upon request). Shortly afterwards, Chef Taufer will welcome the Austrian-born Emmy Award winner, Wolfgang Puck, into his kitchen. Guest Chef Puck will be a member of the kitchenteam as part of the »21st St. Moritz Gourmet Festival«, which takes place from 27th to 31st January 2014. This celebrity chef made a name for himself with his restaurants »Spago« and »CUT« in Beverly Hills, USA and is highly regarded among the rich and famous. With his knowledge of Californian cuisine, he has created a bridge between tradition and innovation. Lately Puck opened his first European »CUT« branch, the «CUT at 45 Park Lane« in London. A dynamic TV chef, Wolfgang Puck brings his motto “Cook from the heart and with love“ to the aficionados attending the gourmet dinner events at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel (CHF 195.00 per person, approx. USD 214.00). Just like his fellow festivalgoers, Wolfgang Puck will not miss out on the »Kitchen Party«, an annual highlight at Badrutt´s Palace Hotel (29th January 2014). extraordinary themed parties (28th December 2013, 4th January, 1st February and 21st February 2014), fairies and demons will transform this legendary St Moritz nightclub into a fantasy world. As soon as they step into the sparkling »Candy Store at Badrutt’s Palace« on 31st December 2013, New Year’s Eve guests will feel as if they are transported back to their childhood dreams. The guests will enjoy a four-course gala dinner at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel (CHF 1'200.00 CHF and approx. USD 1'317.00 for in-house guests). Alternatively, there is a five-course dinner at ›Chesa Veglia‹ for CHF 450.00 (approx.
