Bauma is undisputedly the world’s largest and most impressive construction equipment trade show. Nothing else comes close in terms of the number of exhibits, exhibitor space or the number of visitors it attracts from all over the world, every three years.
More than 3,500 exhibitors from 57 countries will take up more than 614,000 square metres of stand space - that’s 151 acres, 61.4 hectares or 90 football pitches! This is the only show where you will see a fully assembled 1,800 tonne crane, a 240 tonne mining truck or more telehandler manufacturers that you knew existed.
Unlike most ‘global’ equipment exhibitions, Bauma has been less affected by the rise of the smaller, more focused, local shows. It is such a mega event that exhibitors go all out with their stands and product launches, with many organising their new product development plans for a Bauma launch. As such, it is real ‘spectacle’, a ‘must see’ event - as long as you can afford the rip-off hotel prices.
The last Bauma was held in late 2022 having been delayed by the pandemic, but this year it returns to its usual Spring dates. While a few companies have decided to stay away this year, due to high costs and economic uncertainties, most crane, access and telehandler manufacturers will be there, so plenty to see.
As I always say you need to plan your visit to Bauma because the distances between areas is huge, and there are simply too many stands to see them all. This guide will help you organise your visit by highlighting new product launches - both announced and suspected - in our guided tours which provide the most efficient route around the show for each equipment type.

Die bauma ist unbestritten die größte und beeindruckendste Baumaschinenmesse der Welt. Nichts kommt auch nur ansatzweise in die Nähe - weder bei der Anzahl der Geräte, noch der Ausstellungsfläche oder der Zahl der Besucher, die sie alle drei Jahre aus der ganzen Welt anzieht.
Mehr als 3.500 Aussteller aus 57 Ländern werden auf einer Fläche von über 614.000 Quadratmetern ausstellen - das entspricht einer Fläche von 61,4 Hektar, also sehr, sehr vielen Fußballfeldern! Dies ist die einzige Messe, auf der Sie gleichzeitig einen vollständig montierten 1.800-Tonnen-Kran, einen überdimensionierten Muldenkipper für Großminen oder mehr Hersteller von Teleskopladern sehen werden, als Sie bisher kannten.
Im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen „Welt“-Baumaschinenmessen ist die bauma kaum durch die aufkommenden kleinen, branchespezifischeren und regionalen Events betroffen. Die bauma ist ein derartiges Mega-Ereignis, dass sich die Aussteller mit ihren Ständen und Produkteinführungen richtig ins Zeug legen, wobei viele neue Produktentwicklungspläne rechtzeitig zur bauma abgeschlossen sein sollen. Die bauma ist also ein echtes „Spektakel“ und ein „Muss“ - vorausgesetzt, man kann und will sich die überteuerten Hotelpreise leisten.
Die letzte Ausgabe fand Ende 2022 statt, nachdem sie durch die Pandemie in den Herbst verschoben worden war. Die Erwartungen waren gedämpft, da die Messe so spät im Jahr stattfand und das Wetter in München noch unbeständiger sein kann als im April. Aber sie war ziemlich gut, und das Wetter war sogar besser als im Frühjahr.
Während einige Unternehmen beschlossen haben, auch dieses Jahr wieder fernzubleiben, oder sich aufgrund der hohen Kosten und der wirtschaftlichen Ungewissheit zurückgezogen haben, werden die meisten Hersteller, über die wir berichten, vor Ort sein. Es gibt also viel zu sehen.
Wie wir immer betonen, sollten Sie Ihren Besuch auf der bauma - im Gegensatz zu anderen Messen & Events - im Voraus planen. Die Strecken, die sie zurücklegen müssen sind riesig, und die schiere Zahl der Aussteller bedeutet, dass Sie nicht alle besuchen werden können.
Dieser Leitfaden hilft Ihnen bei der Planung, indem er die angekündigten und vermuteten neuen Produkte und Markteinführungen hervorhebt und mit Rundgängen ergänzt. Nutzen Sie ihn - Sie werden froh sein, dass Sie es getan haben. Gedruckte Exemplare sind auf der Messe erhältlich. Schauen Sie auf jeden Fall am Vertikal-Stand vorbei, und sei es nur, um Hallo zu sagen oder einen Messeführer abzuholen. Genießen Sie die Messe und machen Sie bitte das Beste draus!
Wir beginnen die Tour bei Liebherr, wo gleich mehrere Neuheiten auf Sie warten. Einige davon wurden bis zum Eröffnungstag geheim gehalten. So werden sie eine verbesserte Version des 120-TonnenKrans LTM 1120-4.1 mit Liccon3Steuerungssystem sehen, den LTM 1120-4.2, und möglicherweise einen neuen Kran mit Hybridantrieb. Von hier aus begeben Sie sich am besten nach Osten auf Gang 800 zum hinteren Teil des FSBereichs und einige Stände nach Süden zu Tadano, wo es viel zu sehen gibt. Am interessantesten ist vielleicht ein Prototyp des AllTerrain-Hybridantriebs, der als 70-Tonnen-4-Achs-Konzeptkran auf der bauma 2022 zu sehen war. Seitdem ist dieses Gerät im Rahmen eines Langzeit-Testprogramms auf Baustellen im Einsatz. Es wurde nun zu einem fünfachsigen 120-TonnenModell mit Dieselfahrgestell und vollelektrischem Aufbau umgebaut. Sie können dort auch den neuen 250-Tonner AC 5.250-2 mit fünf Achsen und einem 79 Meter langen, achtteiligen Hauptausleger entdecken. Und falls Sie ihn auf der Conexpo nicht gesehen haben, ist dies Ihre Chance, den vollelektrischen 92,7-Tonnen-(100 US-Tonnen)-Evolt-Geländekran eGR1000XLL-1 anzuschauen, der jetzt vom Band läuft.
Wir gehen nun ein kurzes Stück Richtung Süden zu Böcker, um uns
die leichten Autokrane vorzuknöpfen, darunter den sechs Tonnen starken AK 48 - der auf der bauma 2022 gezeigt wurde und jetzt in Produktion ist. Er bietet einen vierteiligen Hauptausleger plus einen dreiteiligen Teleskopausleger für eine Spitzenhöhe von 49 Metern und eine maximale Ausladung von 40 Metern. Fragen Sie nach der Elektroversion, die möglicherweise gezeigt wird. Hinter dem Böcker-Stand finden Sie Manitex mit seinen elektrischen Pick-&-Carry-Kranen der Marke Valla. Auf der anderen Seite des Ganges finden Sie den Manitowoc-Stand mit seinen Grove All-Terrain-, Rough-Terrain- und Carry-DeckKranen. Außerdem gibt es einen brandneuen fünfachsigen PluginHybrid-AT, erhältlich mit Standard- oder Langausleger: den GMK5150L-1e und den GMK5150XLe. Die Hybridmodelle haben die gleichen strukturellen Spezifikationen wie die Dieselmodelle, werden jedoch von einem großen
Lithium-Akku und Elektromotoren für Pumpen, Hub- und Schwenkwerk angetrieben. Die Batterie hält fünf Stunden und kann über einen integrierten Generator oder während der Fahrt aufgeladen werden. Im angeschlossenen Zustand bietet der Kran 20 Stunden Dauerbetrieb. Ein großer Teil des ManitowocStandes wird zudem einem neuen Produktsupportprogramm gewidmet sein.
Am unteren Ende des Messegeländes finden Sie Spierings aus den Niederlanden mit seinen mobilen Plugin-ElektroMobilfaltkranen auf Ketten und Rädern. Highlight am Stand ist der neue 5-achsige SK1265-AT5 eLift, der letztes Jahr auf den Markt kam. Ein paar Stände weiter nördlich finden wir das italienische Unternehmen Marchetti mit einem brandneuen vollelektrischen
15-Tonnen-Citykran, ein absolutes Muss! Ganz in der Nähe befindet sich Link-Belt mit seinem 90-Tonnen-Geländekran 100|RT und dem vierachsigen LKW-Aufbaukran 120|HTLB mit 60 Meter langem, siebenteiligem Ausleger und 110 Tonnen Traglast.
Ein paar Stände weiter oben zeigt Zoomlion einen All-Terrain-Kran für Europa, einen LKW-Kran und einen seiner Rough-Terrain-Krane. Zurück Richtung Mitte gelangen wir zu XCMG mit seinem vierachsigen XCA80G7-1E und der finalen Serienversion seines dreiachsigen vollelektrischen Geländekrans. Schließlich schleppen wir uns ins Freigelände Nord - FN - zu Sany, das den deutschen Markt mit einem neuen 120-Tonnen-AT auf vier Achsen und einem 45-Tonnen-RT ins Visier nimmt.

We start the tour with Liebherr where you will find several new products, some of which they have kept secret until opening day. You will see an upgraded version of its 120 tonne LTM 1120-4.1 - the LTM 1120-4.2 - with Liccon3 control system, and possibly a new hybrid drive crane. Given the secrecy it is worth double checking what’s new. Next your best route from here is to head east on the 800 aisle to the rear of the area FS and a couple of stands south to Tadano which has plenty to see. The most interesting is perhaps a prototype of its All Terrain hybrid drive system seen on the 70 tonne four axle concept crane at Bauma 2022. Since then that unit has been working on job sites, as part of a long-term test programme. It has now been redesigned into a five axle 120 tonne model with a diesel chassis and all electric superstructure. You can also see the new long boom 250 tonne five axle AC 5.250-2, with a 79 metre, eight section main boom. And if you did not see it at Conexpo this is your
chance to see the all electric 92.7 tonne (100 US ton) eGR-1000XLL-1 Evolt Rough Terrain crane, now in full production.
We now head South a short distance to Böcker to see its lightweight long boomed truck cranes, including the six tonne AK 48 shown at Bauma 2022 but now in full production. It offers a four section boom plus a three section telescopic jib for a tip height of 49 metres and maximum radius of 40 metres. Ask about the electric version which might be on the stand. To the rear of the Böcker stand you will find Manitex with Valla electric pick & carry cranes. Now part of Tadano it has interesting development plans and new branding ideas. Over the aisle you will find another electric pick & carry crane maker, JMG Across the aisle you will find the Manitowoc stand with its Grove All Terrain, Rough Terrain and carry deck cranes. It also has a brand new five axle plug-in hybrid All Terrain available with standard or long boom, the GMK5150L-1e
and GMK5150XLe. The hybrid models have the same structural specification as the diesel models but are powered by a large lithium battery pack and electric motors for the pumps, hoist and the slew. The battery is good for five hours and can be topped up with an on board generator or while driving. When plugged it boasts 20 hours continuous operation. A large part of Manitowoc’s display will also be dedicated to a new product support programme.
Head along the bottom of the showground to Spierings and its mobile plug-in electric selferecting tower cranes, as well as crawler versions and a warm Dutch welcome. From here a few stands north we find Italian company Marchetti with an all new 15 tonne all electric city crane. A must see. Close by is Link-Belt, with its 90 tonne 100|RT Rough Terrain and the 110 tonne 120|HTLB four axle truck crane with a 60 metre seven section boom.
A couple of stands over Zoomlion will have a European All Terrain, a truck crane and one of its Rough Terrains on show. Moving back towards the centre we find XCMG and its four axle XCA80G7-1E and final production version of its three axle all electric All Terrain. Finally, we schlepp up to the North area - FN - to find Sany, which is targeting the German market with a new 120 tonne four axle European All Terrain and a 45 tonne RT.

Unser Rundgang startet ganz in der Nähe des Vertikal-Standes bei Sennebogen. Das Unternehmen stellt einen 200-Tonnen-TeleskopRaupenkran vor, den 6203E. Der Kran verfährt mit voller Last und kann auch an Neigungen arbeiten. Dank weiterem Bolzpunkt im Ausleger werden höhere Traglasten bei großen Längen erzielt. Nur ein paar Schritte weiter ist der größte Kran der Messe nicht zu übersehen, der 1.800-Tonner Liebherr LR1800, der zwar nicht neu ist, aber dennoch ein Muss. We start the tour close to the Vertikal Stand with Sennebogen which is launching a 200 tonne telescopic crawler crane, the 6203E, with full pick & carry load chart, the ability to work on slopes, and an increased boom section overlap mode for heavy duty applications. A few steps away you cannot miss the biggest crane at the show, the 1,800 tonne Liebherr LR1800 not new, but still a must-see exhibit. The new Liebherr is the 300 tonne Unplugged battery/mains powered LR 1300.2 SX. Check the drive train to see if Liebherr has switched to electric drive motors, or if like the other Unplugged crawlers simply uses an electric motor to drive the hydraulic pumps in place of the diesel.
Head into area FS to find Tadano which is launching the 1,250 tonne CC78.1250-1 lattice crawler, the first time in 20 years that it, or Demag before, has shown a big crawler at the show. It is also launching an

Packen Sie die Wanderschuhe ein, denn ohne geht es nicht. Schräg gegenüber des VertikalStandes am Eingang Ost ist Liebherr nicht zu übersehen. Bei den Turmdrehkranen wird die K-Serie mit vier neuen Modellen lanciert. Diese sind ausgestattet mit verbessertem Leistungsniveau, moderner Steuerung und neuem Betriebssystem und neuen ‚intelligenten‘ Bedienerassistenzsystemen. Dazu zählt zum Beispiel das pendelfreies Anheben der Last ohne Schrägzug. Gezeigt werden die Modelle 43 K, 61 K und 91 K, ebenso die aktuelle Generation des 125 K sowie die Wippkranserie HC-L. Ohne Umschweife sollte man sich bis ans Südostende des Geländes aufmachen - am besten mit dem bauma-Express, einem Shuttle, den es auf der Messe gibt. Dort am anderen Ende der baumaWelt erwarten Sie die Neuheiten von Potain. So zum Beispiel der Wippkran MR 309, der in zwei Versionen erhältlich ist: mit 16 oder 25 Tonnen Tragkraft und 60-Meter-Ausleger. Daneben gibt sich der Schnellmontagekran Igo
M 24-19 die Ehre. Er ist Nachfolger des Igo M 14 und hebt bis zu 1,8 Tonnen. Außerdem wird der Hup M 28-22 A ausgestellt. Darüber hinaus wird der Tirax 80 vorgestellt: ein Spezialwerkzeug, das das Einsetzen von Bolzenverbindungen an Potain-K-Masten erleichtert.
Weiterentwicklungen gibt es im Bereich der Telematikplattform Potain Connect und zusätzlich eine neue 4G-basierte App namens Potain Connect Assist
Weiter geht es die „3er“-Reihe in Richtung Westen, wo Stafford Tower Cranes seine Obendreher zeigt, darunter den brandneuen 20-Tonnen-Wippkran STLH253 mit 60 Metern Auslegerlänge und 3,05 Tonnen Tragkraft an der Spitze. Nun geht es weiter zu Comansa, das zuletzt den Wippkran CML800 in zwei Versionen mit maximal 50 und 64 Tonnen Traglast auf den Markt gebracht hat. Mit einem kleinen Abstecher nach Norden erreicht man auf der einen Seite Jaso, wo Sie den 8-Tonnen-Flat-Top-Kran J165.8 mit SmartLink-Telematik und einer brandneuen „Horizon“-Krankabine sehen können. Vielleicht auch den im letzten Jahr angekündigten Wipper

vis-à-vis finden Sie Sáez mit seinem neuen vier Tonnen H32-Schnellmontagekran mit 32-Meter-Ausleger und 1.000 kg Spitzentraglast. Hier gibt es Spitzenlose, Wippkrane oder auch Schnelleinsatzkrane - für jeden etwas. Zurück zum Gang Nummer „3“ finden sich Eurogru mit seinen Untendrehern und Krøll mit seinen mächtigen Großkranen - ein schöner Kontrast. Weiter geht es zur nächsten Kreuzung Richtung Westen.
Auf der einen Seite findet sich hier FM Gru mit Unten- und Obendrehern. Schräg gegenüber hat sich BBL eingerichtet, das seine neueste Typen und Entwicklungen sowie Innovationen rund um seine Wotan-Modelle vorstellt, darunter den Wotan X-treme 8040.20/2 und den Wotan X-treme 9080.20/2. Unübersehbar ist hier auch der rote Stand von Wolffkran angesiedelt. Seine Premiere feiert der Wolff 8095 Compact. Angeboten wird er mit 25 und 40 Tonnen maximaler Traglast. Sein 30 Meter langer Ausleger reicht über die Dachterrasse des Messestands, von wo aus die neue Laufkatze bequem in Augenschein genommen werden kann: Sie hat es in sich, denn es handelt sich um eine innovative, automatisch koppelbare Doppellaufkatze. Wolffkran wird außerdem den neuen 30-TonnenWippkran Wolff 550B mit 65-MeterAusleger vorstellen.
Mit einem kurzen Schlenker nach Süden geht es zu Gru Dalbe und seinen Geräten zwischen 15 und 70 Metern Auslegerlänge. Zurückgehend und der „3er“-Reihe bis nach Westen folgend, finden sich hier Condecta und Midi Cranes mit ihren Schnelleinsatzkranen sowie Moritsch mit seinen hydraulik-/ ölfreien Wippern, gefolgt von FB Gru, das seinen hydraulischen Schnellbaukran GA 245 ausstellt. Dieser kann mit einem 7,5-TonnenLKW verfahren werden und ist auf kleinstem Raum einsetzbar, dank 2,50 Meter Schwenkradius und maximaler Hubleistung von 1.800 Kilogramm. Am Ende des Weges liegt der Stand von Krupinski Cranes, das seine Obendreher präsentiert. Ein letzter Schwenk gen Norden, und Sie gelangen zu Zoomlion mit seiner Marke Wilbert. Wem die Sohlen noch nicht qualmen, dem seien in den Hallen noch das polnische Unternehmen Baukrane und der französische Akteur Speed Crane ans Herz gelegt.

Starting from the Vertikal stand head to Liebherr - it’s impossible to miss - the company has a lot to cover, including the launch of the new K series tower cranes with four new models said to offer improved performance, the latest control technology, a new operating system, and new ‘intelligent’ operator assistance systems. These include load sway elimination to reduce side loadings while slewing too quickly or suddenly. The 43 K, 61 K and 91 K models will be on display, as well as the current generation of the 125 K and the HC-L luffing crane series.
We now go to area FS, turn right at Manitou and head south to Zoomlion which also acquired the Wilbert tower cranes a few years back and ought to have a tower crane on display. Keep heading south to a cluster of tower crane companies near the bottom corner of the area. On the right of the aisle Krupinski Cranes is promoting its top slewing cranes, while on the left FB Gru has its GA 245 hydraulic self-erecting crane on show. It can be transported on a 7.5 tonne truck and can work in the smallest of spaces thanks to its
2.5 metre slew radius while offering a maximum capacity of 1,800kg.
Next door is Midi Cranes by Euro Crane with its self-erectors and next door a famous name in the industry, Moritsch, with its no hydraulics/ no oil luffing jib cranes. On the same stand is Swiss tower crane maker Condecta
Next door Wolffkran, as always at Bauma, has lots to talk about, in particular the launch of its biggest Compact series crane so far, the Wolff 8095 Compact with 25 tonne two fall or 40 tonne capacity with four falls. It features an innovative new double trolley with automatic coupling. It will also unveil the new 30 tonne Wolff 550 B luffing jib crane with 65 metre jib. One not to miss.
Over the aisle FM Gru has a couple of its self-erecting and top slewing cranes on its stand, while on the opposite side is BBL with its latest models and developments, as well as innovations related to its Wotan models, including the Wotan X-treme 8040.20/2 and the Wotan X-treme 9080.20/2. Now we take a short
detour to the south to see Gru Dalbe and its interesting self-erectors, with jibs up to 70 metres. Back on the Wolffkran aisle you will find Kroll Cranes with its heavy duty crane, but don’t expect it to have a crane on the stand. Next door German manufacturer Eurogru Service might, but worth stopping for a chat, especially if you are not familiar with its cranes.
Now cross the aisle to see the first of three Spanish manufacturersComansa - which will feature its recently launched CML800 luffing jib crane, available with 50 or 64 tonnes maximum capacity. Over the aisle one stand north is Jaso celebrating its 50th anniversary, it will show the eight tonne flat top J165.8 crane, along with its SmartLink telematics and a brand new ‘Horizon’ crane cab. Ask about its J638PA luffing jib crane announced last year. Over the next aisle is Saez with its new four tonne H32 self-erector with 32 metre jib and 1,000kg jib tip capacity. Now head back past Comansa to find Irish-American Portuguese manufacturer Stafford
Tower Cranes - previously Soima - which is launching the all-new 20 tonne luffing jib STLH253, with 60 metre jib and 3.05 tonne capacity at the tip. All models have hydraulic dual operation and can be supplied with its ‘Smart-Link’ system. Make sure you take a look at the all-new crane cab and take the chance to meet Patrick and Derek Stafford and all the senior team.
Finally for this area we head to the bottom corner to find Potain which has a lot on show including its MR 309 luffing jib crane, available in 16 or 25 tonnes capacity versions, both with 60 metre jibs. Also look for the 1.8 tonne Igo M 24-19 self-erecting crane, which takes over from the Igo M 14 and the Hup M 28-22 A. You will also be shown Tirax 80, a special tool that facilitates the installation of bolted connections on Potain K-towers, while the Potain Connect telematics platform has been improved and features added, including a new 4G-based appPotain Connect Assist. Lastly you can find Poland’s Baukrane in Hall B and the French company Speed Crane in Hall C.

A few steps to the west we find BG lift with its wide range of articulated tracked cranes, while Dutch crane maker Hoeflon is across the aisle with its highly innovative
and well-engineered spider cranes and might just have a surprise. One stand along is elma, a relatively new entrant from platform Basket Although new it already has an interesting range of products including the MCX models. Keep going on this aisle to find Jekko which is promising ‘exciting innovations’ including the SPX328 EVO+ with integrated electric jib, the SPX650 with height adjustable outriggers, and the lithium powered JF235CL. Jekko technology is impressive, so do stop and ask to see its operator control screens, which have been updated and improved for launching at the show. Almost opposite is kranlyft and the Maeda cranes. Take a close look at the new 2.8 tonne MK3053-C spider crane with five section main boom and three section telescopic jib for a maximum tip height of 16.95 metres
at which point it can handle 50kg and also at the maximum radius of 14.5 metres.
Head now towards Sennebogen to find paus with a 2.5 tonne pre-production PTK XX single axle trailer crane with 23 metre boom, alongside its PTK31. Finally, Palfinger is in the North area with its substantial PCC articulated crawler crane series while Heinz Teupen managed TGT has a growing range of cranes in Hall C4.

Auf dem ipAF Summit 2025 in dublin am 13. März kündigte die international powered Access Federation (ipAF) den Start ihrer globalen Sicherheitskampagne für 2025 mit dem Titel umkippen stoppen! - Sicherheit beginnt am Boden
Anhand von daten aus dem globalen unfallmeldeportal hebt die jährliche Sicherheitskampagne von ipAF eine wichtige Botschaft für die Höhenzugangsbranche hervor. die diesjährige kampagne zielt darauf ab, das Bewusstsein dafür zu schärfen, dass mobile Hubarbeitsbühnen (MeWps), die umkippen, schwerwiegende und tödliche unfälle verursachen. Sie können oft zum rausschleudern des Bedieners aus dem korb und zu komplexen rettungsaktionen für diejenigen führen, die während eines des umkippens in der Höhe gefangen sind.
Unter der Leitung von Brian Parker, Head of Safety & Technical bei IPAF, und Alana Paterson, Head of Health, Safety & Environment bei Taylor Woodrow & Vorsitzender des IPAF International Safety Committee, betont die Kampagne die Gefahren und Risiken - von Verletzungen und Todesfällen bis hin zu Störungen der Baustelle und psychologischen Auswirkungensowie Möglichkeiten, die Risiken zu bewältigen und zu minimieren. Die neuesten Statistiken zeigen Folgendes:
• Im letzten Jahrzehnt wurden 108 Todesfälle, 64 schwere und 25 leichte Verletzungen gemeldet und auf das Umkippen mit Arbeitsbühnen zurückgeführt. 64 % der Unfälle wurden aus Nordamerika, 18 % aus Europa und 22 % aus Asien gemeldet.
• Der am stärksten betroffene Beruf war Bediener, in viel geringerem Umfang Fahrer bei der Auslieferung, Techniker/Ingenieure, Mitarbeiter des Unternehmens und Unbeteiligte.
• Von den 108 gemeldeten Todesfällen wurden 52 in den Jahren 2021-2023 verzeichnet, und 33 % der Umstürze ereigneten sich auf einer Bühne vom Typ 3A,
gefolgt von 1B (28 %), 3B (23 %) und 1B (12 %).
• Tödliche Umkippunfälle stiegen von Januar 2021 bis Dezember 2023 um 50 %.
• Instabilität, die zu einem Umfallen führt, gehört zu den vier wichtigsten Ursachen für Vorfälle mit Ausfallzeiten (LTIs) in der Branche.
• Das Umkippen einer Hubarbeitsbühne tritt typischerweise während des Aufstellens, der Fahrt oder des Betriebs bei unzureichenden oder ungeeigneten Bodenbedingungen auf. In Anerkennung der globalen Reichweite der Kampagne hat IPAF neue Branchenleitfäden entwickelt: Die Bewertung der Bodenbedingungen und unterstützende Strukturen für den sicheren Einsatz von Hubarbeitsbühnen. Er ist in zwei Teile unterteilt: Anleitung für Bediener mit Abschnitten zur Entwässerung, hängenden Böden und temporären Arbeiten sowie Anleitung für Bediener, die sich auf unebenem Untergrund bewegen, mit den Themen ein-/ausgefahrene Bühne, Hänge und Aufstellung.

IPAF Global Safety Campaign 2025 Stop Overturns! Safety Starts on the Ground
ipAF - the international powered Access Federation - will launch its 2025 Global Safety campaign Stop Overturns! Safety Starts on the Ground at Bauma.
using data from its global Accident reporting portal, ipAF’s annual safety campaign highlights an important message for those in the powered access industry. This year’s campaign aims to raise awareness of the risk of mobile elevating work platforms overturning and causing serious and even fatal incidents. All too often the platform occupants are thrown from the platform, even when it does not completely overturn, leading to complex rescue scenarios for those trapped at height during a partial overturn.
Led by Brian Parker, head of safety & technical at IPAF and Alana Paterson, head of health, safety & environment for UK contractor Taylor Woodrow who also chairs the IPAF International Safety Committee, the campaign emphasises the hazards and risks from injuries and fatalities to disruption of worksite and psychological impact along with ways to manage and minimise them. The latest statistics informing this year’s campaign revealed that:
• In the last decade, 108 fatalities, 64 major injuries, and 25 minor injuries, were reported and attributed to overturning incidents involving aerial work platforms. 64% of overturns were reported from North America, 18% from Europe, and 22% from Asia.
• Those most affected were platform operators, while a small number included delivery drivers, technicians/engineers, company staff and the public.
• Of the 108 fatalities 52 were recorded in 2021-2023, and 33% of overturns happened on a 3A self-propelled scissor lifts, followed by 1B static booms -
truck and trailer mounted lifts and spider lifts at 28%, 3B selfpropelled boom lifts made up 23% while other categories made up 12%.
• Fatal overturns increased by 50% from January 2021 to December 2023.
• Instability leading to overturn is commonly among the top four industry causes of lost time incidents annually.
• Overturns typically occur during setup, travel, or operation on inadequate or unsuitable ground or floor conditions. They can also occur while moving lifts across unsuitable terrain in either the elevated or stowed positions.
• The most common places for incidents to occur are construction sites, public areas, roads and highways, and rental yards.
• Non-fatal injury types result in fracture, concussion, bruising, impact pains, and cuts and lacerations.
Recognising the global reach of the campaign, IPAF has developed new industry guidance: The Assessment of Ground Conditions and Supporting Structures for The Safe Use of MEWPs. It is split into two parts: guidance for platform users, with sections on dewatering, suspended floors, and temporary works, and guidance for operators, focusing on travelling on uneven ground, elevated, stowed position, slopes and positioning.
Reflecting on the Global Safety Campaign release, Brian parker said “Overturns continue to be a major cause of serious injuries and fatalities in our industry. With the launch of IPAF’s 2025 Global Safety Campaign - Stop
Overturns: Safety Starts on the Ground! - we are reinforcing a crucial message: ground conditions matter. By understanding the risks and implementing proper safety measures, we can prevent overturns, protect lives, and create safer work environments worldwide. Let’s work together to make a measurable impact and aim for a measurable decrease in overturns globally.”
As the campaign launches, IPAF urges industry participation, implementation of recommended safety measures, and the reporting

Compact für raues Gelände, das nach einem „Muss“ klingt und von Hinowa in Italien gefertigt wird. Das andere ist die 22-Meter-Bühne EC660AJ für raues Gelände.

You will see its new three model modular articulated boom lift line up though, the 112ft BA36T, 128ft BA41RT and 138ft BA44RT with 36, 41 and 44 metre working heights all with a choice of diesel, hybrid or battery power. Staff from sister company Mec will also be on hand to discuss its new Dual Reach boom lift. Next door JlG returns to Bauma, having missed the last one, and will launch two new models, the European designed and built 45ft EC450AJ Compact, electric Rough Terrain articulated boom, which sounds like a ‘must see’ product built by Hinowa in Italy. The other is the 66ft EC660AJ electric Rough Terrain articulated boom lift.
Now head towards the Tadano crane booms at the end of the aisle - stopping off at XcMG to see the new 125ft all electric XGS40ACK telescopic Rough Terrain boom lift, it may also have its 223ft XGS70K telescopic on the stand along with the 154ft XGA48K articulated unit, unveiled at Vertikal Days in September and its new XGR12J mast boom. To the rear lGMG has its new Series 2 electric/hybrid boom lifts with working heights of up to 40 metres, using a single riser, in place of the previous
parallelogram type rising pivot point. Also look for the 92ft electric T28 JE-2 with a 29.8 metre working height and the new M1210JE mast boom with three section telescopic jib and 125 degrees articulation. Next stop Tadano to see the nagano designed and built tracked articulated and straight telescopic booms. Ask about its future plans for the product line under Tadano ownership. Over the aisle is dinolift, which will have the electric 280RXTE Long Range boom on show. Now double back to the west past Böcker passing platform Basket which makes road-rail boom lifts to find a new Turk on the block - Mote lift with an all new three model boom line, while possibly unveiling a mast boom. A couple of stands further is niftylift, with its 60ft HR22E all electric telescopic, but take a look at Nifty’s hydrogen power pack, as elegant a hybrid solution as you are ever likely to find, and already well proven in the field. One aisle south you find another new Turkish
company platfon, and Skyjack will unveil the hybrid version of the ‘E Drive’ SJ45 AJE+ and SJ60 AJE electric booms launched last summer. At the rear of Skyjack is Sahalift with Aichi, Airo and Almacrawler so well worth stopping, before crossing the aisle to Sinoboom which has plenty to discuss, including European production in Poland, while new models include the TB42RJ Plus HD, a 137ft electric 4x4 Rough Terrain telescopic. Wir beginnen im Bereich FM am Stand von leguan/Avant, um die bisher größte Raupenarbeitsbühne des Unternehmens zu besichtigen: die neue Leguan 265 mit 26,5 Meter Arbeitshöhe. Wir begeben uns nun ins Freigelände Süd und biegen bei Manitou rechts ab, um palazzani zu finden. Das Unternehmen präsentiert dort mehrere neue Produkte, darunter die 21 Meter TZX210, die die TZX225 in der TZX-Reihe mit AluAusleger ersetzt. Weitaus radikaler und bisher geheim sind jedoch zwei neue Modelle mit Stahl-Ausleger: die 16 Meter TZJ160 und die 18 Meter TZJ 180. Die neuen Modelle sollen laut Angaben des Unternehmens die Produktlinie komplettieren.
Gegenüber steht imer Access mit seinem kürzlich eingeführten
20-Meter-Gerät IM R 20 DA mit 10 Metern Reichweite bei einer Übergriffhöhe von acht Metern. Auf der anderen Seite dürfte Zoomlion seine 27-Meter-RaupeZX27AE mit Lithiumbatterieantrieb oder möglicherweise ein völlig neues Modell parat haben.
Hinter Zoomlion bringt Hinowa/ JlG sein drittes und größtes Teleskopmodell auf den Markt, die TC30 mit 30 Metern Arbeitshöhe, einem fünfteiligen Teleskopausleger und Gelenkarm. Das Unternehmen hebt sich die wichtigsten Features bis zur Messe auf, aber rechnen Sie mit Lithiumakku. Gegenüber wird niftylift wahrscheinlich keine seiner Schwerlastraupen ausstellen. We start in area FM on the leguan lift stand to see its largest spider lift to date, the new 26.5 metre Leguan 265. Designed for rugged outdoor applications such as tree and utility work, it is supposed to be very fast so give it a try.
We now head to the FS south area, turning right at Manitou to find palazzani which has several new products on show, including the 21 metre TZX 210 which replaces the TZX225 in the company’s articulated aluminium boomed TZX range. But far more radical and kept secret until now are two new steel boomed articulated models, the 16 metre TZJ160 and 18 metre TZJ180 with an over centre lift mechanism with sigma type riser, a two section telescopic boom and articulated jib. The new models will, says the company, complete its product line. Over the aisle is imer Access with its recently launched 20 metre IM R 20 DA with 10 metres outreach at an eight metre up & over height. Over the aisle Zoomlion should have its 27 metre twin telescopic boom ZX27AE with lithium battery power, or possibly a totally new model.
Behind Zoomlion Hinowa/JlG is launching its third and largest telescopic model, the new 30 metre TC30 with a five section telescopic boom and articulating jib. The company is saving the key features until the show but expect lithium power. Over the aisle niftylift is unlikely to have one of its heavy duty spiders on show, stay on this aisle to platform Basket to see its 54 metre 54T telescopic spider on the stand, possibly with lithium power? It features an eight section boom, topped by a four section articulating jib, for 29 metres outreach and a maximum platform capacity of 400kg. It can be also quickly converted to a 990kg capacity spider crane.
Cross the side aisle to rothlehner with its 18 metre denka DK 18 trailer lift and easy lift‘s new 21.2 metre R210 model with 11 metres outreach at an up & over height of 6.1 metres and 200kg platform capacity. Power options include diesel and plug in AC, lithium battery or hybrid. It will also have its 53 metre RA53 on the stand. Head south now to Sinoboom, which has
an OEM deal with Falcon for some markets but has designed a new 27 metre model, the SPA 27J. Over the aisle Sahalift has the Omme range, and says: “This year, we are unveiling something special, our next generation!” expect both telescopic and articulated models. To the rear is Multitel pagliero with several models on show, including units from its Axon range.
Cross the aisle to Oil&Steel now owned by Tadano, so ask about its future plans, while checking the 30 metre Octoplus 30. Now head to the
end of the area to find cMc, where you might also find some of us checking the freshly made cannoli. However, its main product launch will be the compact 20 metre S20 articulated model, designed for urban maintenance and tree pruning etc. in tight areas. But CMC will also show the smaller S15, S18F and 30 metre S30. Pass Palfinger to see Socage and its raptors, including the 35S, before finding Hematec with dinolift and its new slim Dino 120TLB. Final stop on the ruthmann stand to see the latest Bluelift spiders.

Jüngste Ruthmann-Neuheiten sind die „Steiger“-Modelle T380 XS und
T1000 HF mit 38 bzw 100 Metern Arbeitshöhe. Wir streben zum östlichen Rand und finden wie an einer Perlenschnur aufgereiht die Stände von Hematec/dinolift, klubb und isoli mit neuen Modellen, wo Neuheiten angekündigt sind. Gegenüber finden Sie Altec/ Teupen wie auch Böcker mit seinen Autokranen, die sich auch als Bühne nutzen lassen, und dahinter cTe mit seinen beiden Neuheiten Zeta 23, einer Gelenk-LKW-Bühne und der Teleskop-LKW-Bühne B-Lift 18 HN. Direkt gegenüber erwartet Sie
Arbeitshöhe von 16 Metern, mit geringer Stützbreite und großer Reichweite. Hinzu kommen die MTE 270 EX und die MZ 250. Die vollelektrische AXON-Baureihe wird durch die Teleskopbühne MJE 250 auf einem Iveco e-Daily 50C14 E mit einem zulässigen Gesamtgewicht von 5,2 Tonnen repräsentiert. Once again all of the exhibitors in this tour are located in Outdoor South - FS - and mostly in the same part of the area. We will start close to the centre with Time europe where we get ‘four birds with one stone’ - ruthmann, France elévateur, Movex and Versalift The show comes weeks after the holding company announced its One Europe strategy so it might be worth asking how this is going to work in reality. France Elévateur will have the Mov-up series of compact 3.5 tonne truck mounts, with 17, 18, and 20 metre working heightsdefinitely worth checking out. Movex and Versalift are focusing more on closed van mounted units from 12 to 25 metres, while Ruthmann will certainly be the dominant partner at this show, it is after all on home soil. Its new product launches will focus on the 38 metre T380 XS with 32 metres of outreach and the production version of the T1000 HF, its first 100 metre model since Bauma 2001 and incidentally the
same year the first Vertikal Bauma guide was produced. We head to the eastern boundary for Hematec and klubb and dinolift - which sells most of its truck mounts in Germany - and isoli. Klubb will show off its growing range of van and light truck mounts and is bound to have an interesting innovation or two. This year Isoliacquired by Klubb in late 2022 - is on the same stand and ought to be launching some interesting results from the synergy between the two companies.
A few stands along on the same side is Socage which has just appointed a new dealer for Northern Germany, BTS Bautechnik-Service. Take a look at its 15.5 metre pick up mounted forSte 16A Speed and a lot of us will be hoping to see one of its 100 metre forSte 100TJJ. Next door palfinger will highlight its new TEC series of truck mounted lifts between 19 and 28 metres, including two brand new models on Mercedes 3.5 tonne chassis.
Across the aisle is Teupen now owned by Altec, and Böcker with its truck mounted cranes that feature platforms. Behind Teupen is cTe with its two new products: the 23 metre articulated Zeta 23, and the 18 metre telescopic B-Lift 18 HN. It is also highlighting its Green models, including its all electric unts. Now cross the aisle with Böcker to Oil&Steel now owned by Tadano, which might spark some interesting developments. Next door there are most definitely some big developments, with Bronto Skylift which is launching a completely new generation of larger XT models, starting with the 70 metre S70XT1-J, with an all-new more rigid five section main boom, topped by a three section upper boom/jib topped by Bronto’s articulating jib with 175 degrees of articulation, providing 39 metres outreach, 33 metres with the maximum platform capacity of 600kg and 46 metre up & over clearance.
On the same aisle is Multitel
pagliero with its all-new 16 metre MXE 160 mounted on a Ford Ranger pickup chassis - absolutely worth a good look. Also on display are the 27 metre MTE 270 EX and 25 metre MZ 250, while the all-electric Axon series is represented by the MJE 250 telescopic on an Iveco e-Daily 50C14 E.
Next door is Sinoboom, which has plans to launch its new truck mounted platform range in Europe, it might just have its new 32 metre GKS32L model on show, although its focus will be on locally made self-propelled lifts. Across the aisle is truck mounted underbridge inspection truck mounted lift manufacture Moog - a fascinating stand to visit. Heading east on this aisle brings you to klaas with 3.5 tonne truck mounts named Rudi and Theo.
Head north one aisle passing between Wolffkran and Spierings to find rothlehner and GSr with four truck mounts on show, including the new 27 metre B270T on a 3.5 tonne Sprinter chassis. One block further north, Italian manufacturer co.Me.T usually pulls an interesting development ‘out of the bag’.

The new products include a completely updated Alimak Scando 650a construction
hoist with an all new hoist car said to be 20 percent lighter than the existing model. It will also highlight the STS 300 scaffold installation hoist, and new Vectio 350 transport platform series, although it will not be on display due to lack of space. Scanclimber will have its new SC2500 mastclimber with 26.4 metre platform and 2,780kg capacity in dual mast format. Alongside will be the SC10000, its largest model. But most importantly is its wide range of attachments and clever solutions such as the Snake Extension. Further south we find new entrant Gamaplac with some interesting ideas. Vom Stand des Vertikal Verlags bietet es sich an, erstmal bei Zeppelin rental mit seinen Faresin-Telestaplern vorbeizuschauen und dann bei Ausa, das zu JlG gehört, und anschließend zu liebherr zu gehen. Das schwäbische Unternehmen hat die sechste Generation seiner Teleskoplader angekündigt mit den Modellen T 38-7s mit 4,2 Tonnen Hubkraft und T 48-8s mit acht Metern Hubhöhe.
Daneben befindet sich das Areal von Sennebogen, gut zu erkennen am tiefen Dunkelgrün seiner Maschinen. Der neueste Teleskoplader-Streich der Straubinger ist der 360 G mit sechs Tonnen Traglast, 8,50 Meter Hubhöhe und einer neuen stufenlos verstellbaren Komfortkabine sowie einer Heavy-Duty-Schwerlastachse. Wenn Sie dort ein knallrotes Gerät sehen, ist es einer der beiden Teleskoplader YH40 und YH60, die Sennebogen für linde fertigt.
Ein Schlenker in nordwestlicher Richtung führt uns zu in die Hallen C6 zu Tobroco-Giant und C4 zum türkischen Hersteller MST, dessen Palette bislang acht Geräte mit starrem Rahmen umfasst. Nun begeben wir uns ins Freigelände Nord zu Sany und - direkt gegenüber - Sunward und danach liugong,
die eventuell neue Gerätschaften mitbringen. Weiter nach Osten geht es über Hidromek zu Bobcat, das sein Konzept des elektrischen Teleskopladers TL25.60e vorstellt. Direkt nebenan zeigt kramer sein Modell 3106. Zudem steht bei Wacker neuson auch das Live-Erlebnis der Maschinen mit eindrucksvollen Demos im Mittelpunkt. Der 3106 hebt Lasten von bis zu 3,1 Tonnen auf eine maximale Hubhöhe von 5,83 Meter. Weiter östlich wartet kubota mit seinem KTH4815, gefertigt von Tobroco Giant, und den Eckdaten 1,4 Tonnen/4,8 Meter auf. Über die Straße wenden wir uns nun nach Süden zu Faresin, das beim vorletzten Mal mit einem komplett elektrischen Teleskoplader überraschte. Mal sehen, was sie diesmal mitbringen. Nebenan zeigt Merlo stellvertretend für seine neue Roto-Serie unter anderem drei Modelle: den 50.18S, den 60.22R und den 60.35SPlus. Der italienische Hersteller wertet seine Telestapler um eine Tonne Traglast sowie einen Meter zusätzliche Hubhöhe auf. Etliche Bauteile wurden neu konzipiert, darunter der Ausleger und das Fahrgestell. Schräg gegenüber erwartet Sie Magni. Das Unternehmen erweitert
seine mittlere Baureihe mit starrem Rahmen um den TH 3,5.7 (3,5 Tonnen/7 Meter) & und TH 3,5.9 (3,5 Tonnen/9 Meter). Zudem kommt der neue HTH 25.11 heraus, der 18 Tonnen bis auf 10,5 Meter hievt. Ebenso neu ist der Arbeitskorb TP 4,5.10 mit uneingeschränkter Traglast von 450 Kilogramm. In Kombination mit dem 46-Meter-Roto RTH 8.46 bietet der neue Korb eine Arbeitshöhe von insgesamt 58 Metern. Direkt nebenan bringt dieci seine neues Hi-Vision-System für seine drehbaren Modelle der Produktlinie Pegasus Elite heraus, zeigt seine elektrischen Telestapler Apollo-e 26.6 und Apollo-e Smart 20.4 und stellt vier neue Modelle der Pegasus-Serie aus. Weiter westlich sind bei Manitou zwei neue elektrische Teleskoplader mit starrem Rahmen und großer Hubhöhe angekündigt – bis 10 Meter. Dazu gesellt sich der Prototyp eines größeren Rotos mit Brennstoffzelle. Des Weiteren soll ein Diesel-Roto aus der MRT-Serie für Manitou neue Höhen erobern – jenseits der 30-Meter-Marke. Richtung Süden erwartet Sie Zoomlion mit neuen Telestaplern: Drei Modelle mit starrem Rahmen decken Traglasten von 2,5, 3,5 und 4 Tonnen ab, während der ZTH4525R 4,5 Tonnen hebt
und mit rotierendem Oberwagen ausgestattet ist. Auf derselben Höhe finden Sie XcMG wie auch lGMG Bei LGMG feiert der elektrische Teleskoplader H625E (6 Meter/2,5 Tonnen) seine Europapremiere. We begin the tour opposite the Vertikal stand at Zeppelin which is launching its Zeppelin-badged Faresin-built fixed frame telehandler line up after Caterpillar quit the European telehandler business. A few steps north is Ausa, now part of JlG, with its latest micro models. Next stop Sennebogen to see its new heavy duty models, including the 8.5 metre/6,000kg 360 G and 7.7 metre/4,000kg 340 G models. While they look similar to the units they replace, they are entirely new. An elevating cab is an interesting optional. The company is also supplying red linde branded models to the famous forklift manufacturer where they become the Linde YH40 and YH60.

Now head into open area FS for Manitou with two new fixed frame electric telehandlers with lift heights to 10 metres. Alongside will be the prototype of a larger 360 degree MRT model with a hydrogen fuel cell. It also promises a larger 360 degree, model taking it into the over 30 metre market.
A little further up the aisle we find dieci with four new Pegasus models, including a Hi-Vision system for its 360 degree Pegasus Elite models. It will also have two new battery electric units, the 2,600kg/ six metre/Apollo-e 26.6 and more compact 2,000kg /four metre Apollo-e Smart 20.4.
manufacturer is also increasing the capacity of some models by 1,000kg and adding a metre more lift height thanks to redesigned booms and chassis. Over the aisle Magni is adding to its mid-range fixed frame line up with two 3,500kg capacity models - the seven metre TH 3.5.7 and nine metre TH 3.5.9. Also new is the Heavy Duty 25 tonne/10.5 metre HTH 25.11, which can handle 18 tonnes at its maximum lift height. Also check out the new TP 4.5.10 work platform attachment, with a 450kg platform capacity and a working height of 58 metres when combined with the 46 metre 360 degree RTH 8.46.
On this aisle towards Tadano, we find lGMG which will unveil the European version of its 2,500kg/ six metre H625E compact electric telehandler. To the rear XcMG might have a telehandler on the stand. Head south past Marchetti, Jaso and Skyjack to Sinoboom which had planned to launch the new 2,500kg/ six metre TH 25-6 compact unit, but after its open day in Changsha last November, it was ‘back to the drawing board’…so let’s see. The company also offers mid-range fixed frame and 360 degree models - but not yet in Europe. Over the aisle noblelift is unlikely to have any of its telehandlers at the show.
Head now to the open area north FN to see Sany which will have its latest European models on show for you to comment on. Sunward, and liuGong are close by, but not expected to show telehandlers. Much more interesting is Hidromek from Turkey, which promises to unveil is first telehandler which it believes has all the ingredients to carve out a decent market share? No details supplied. Next stop Bobcat, which will show the same 2,500kg/six metre TL25.60e electric telehandler seen at Intermat last year. While next door, kramer/ Wacker neuson will launch the 3,100kg/six metre 3106 model. Further east, kubota has the Tobroco Giant built 1,400kg/4.8 metre KTH4815. Tobroco-Giant is in Hall C6 - but no telehandlerwhile Turkey’s MST can be found in Hall C4.
Next door liebherr is launching the sixth generation of its telehandler models, starting with the 3,800kg/ seven metre T 38-7s and the 4,200kg/eight metre T 48-8s - the first eight metre Liebherr telehandler.
Cross the aisle to Faresin, most likely with larger all-electric models. Next door, Merlo will showcase three models representing its new Roto series - the 5,000kg and 6,000kg 50.18S, 60.22R, and 60.35SPlus with 18, 22 and 35 metre lift heights. The Italian
Head south west to Zoomlion to see at least one of its new three-model fixed frame range, with capacities from 2,500kg to 4,000kg, alongside the 4,500kg/25 metre 360 degree ZTH4525R. Over the aisle JlG will have an Ausa model on display, which we saw earlier in the tour.

We begin near Vertikal in area FMopposite the top end of the Liebherr stand is Atlas with several loader cranes with capacities up to 13 tonnes and 22 metre lift heights, all equipped has as standard the ACM (Atlas Crane Management) electronic safety system, outrigger monitoring and radio remote control. Now head north to the centre of area FN, to find palfinger and the all new PK 880 TEC details of which it is keeping close to its chest but says: “This crane combines cutting-edge technology with the latest Connected plus+ solutions.” Look for the recently launched tiltable crane fork which will hopefully be demonstrated. Also, the new P6 radio remote controller and the EPU40 electric power unit for work in sensitive areas or city centres.
Two aisles further north brings you to cormach and its truly monster cranes, the beasts of the loader crane world and a must see. Cross the aisle past Bonfiglioli with one or two loader cranes to reach the Hyva Holding stand for Amco Veba, kennis and Hyva with the latest
generation of Edge loader cranes and models with a load moments up to 66mt. From here, it is a short walk south, where Fassi is in its own words planning ‘an outstanding presence’. Whatever that might be, the company loves to show off at Bauma, so expect something truly remarkable - if you are into articulated boom cranes. We do know that it will be demonstrating its new Remote Camera which looks like a very handy tool, so do ask.
Right next door Ferrari international will have a vast array of attachments and accessories for loader cranes, so another worth stopping for. Across the aisle Turkish company World power is worth a visit to see its massive heavy lift articulated cranes. Now head to area FS to see pM - now under Tadano ownership - so ask what are the plans now for PM? Finally, we head indoors to Hall B to see the small end of the loader crane market, with next Hydraulics with its brands

Von hier aus sind es wenige Schritte nach Süden, wo Fassi nach eigenem Bekunden einen „herausragenden Auftritt“ plant. Unmittelbar nebenan finden Sie die Marke Ferrari. Es erwarten Sie etliche interessante Neuentwicklungen bei Sensoren, Joysticks und Fernbedienungen. So präsentiert Gefran seinen neuen Winkelsensor GR3P für mobile Arbeitsmaschinen. Fast benachbart findet sich Siko mit seinen neuen Seilzuggebern der NEO-Baureihe mit Messlängen von drei bis 15 Metern. Wer Anbieter von Funkfernsteuerungen sucht, sollte sich ins Freigelände Mitte aufmachen. In unmittelbarer Nähe haben wieder Gross Funk und HBc-radiomatic ihre Zelte aufgeschlagen. Und wenige Schritte weiter zeigt Autec seine neuen tragbaren Bedieneinheiten.
Most of the remote control and electronics suppliers/manufacturers are found inside, especially in Hall A2. But there are also a few in the main outside areas FM and FS.
Technology and telematics, as well as operator and owner assistance and safety systems, are playing an increasingly important role in the crane and aerial platform markets, possible a little less in the telehandler market. As a result,
there are a number of interesting new developments in sensors, joysticks, and some substantial improvements in radio remote controllers, which is leading to them becoming the main control station on some machines. We have to start at Vertikal because our neighbour is HBcradiomatic which always has a thoroughly impressive range of controllers on show for
everything from overhead cranes to platforms, mobile cranes, tower cranes, loader cranes and even 360 degree telehandlers. Autec is just a few steps towards Area FS and will show its new portable control units. In area FS you will find Ascorel and AMcS demonstrating their latest anti-collision devices for tower cranes, along with other technology. At the Southern perimeter is Vita inclinata and BcS crane camera.
Now head to A2 where for example Gefran, is presenting its new GR3P angle sensor, while close by is Siko with its new NEO series of wire actuated encoders with measuring lengths from three to 15 metres. There is way too much to cover here, but don’t miss Tele radio which will reveal a new product line and leading telematics supplier Trackunit which will launch several really interesting new developments in this rapidly developing area.

Die U-Bahn und die S-Bahn, Straßenbahnen und Busse sind alle Teile des Münchner Verkehrs Verbundes MVV und gut an Bahnhöfe und Flughäfen angebunden. Wenn Sie Fahrkarten erwerben, beachten Sie bitte, dass die Stadt in vier farbige Zonen unterteilt ist, im Stadtzentrum (weiß) kostet eine einfache Fahrt €4,10. Interconnected public transport - MVV
The underground (U-Bahn) and suburban trains (S-Bahn), trams and buses are all part of the MVV network which interconnect with each other as well as with the main railway network and airport. When purchasing a ticket note that the city is divided into four colour zones, and then divided further into ‘rings’ ranging 1-12. A single ticket to travel around the city centre (white zone) costs €4.10. The cheapest way to get around is with a weekly ticket for - depending on the fare zone€22.40, in the cheapest case. Taxis
Münchens Taxis tragen alle die Farbe Hellelfenbein. Immer mehr befördern heute auch größere Gruppen. Taxis können auf der Straße per Handzeichen angehalten werden, man kann am Taxistand zusteigen oder einfach eins per Telefon bestellen. Sogar online kann man Taxifahrten reservieren. Für Fahrten von der Messe zum Flughafen und umgekehrt sollte man mit rund €90 rechnen. Ansonsten gibt es einen Grundpreis von €5,70 plus €2,50 pro Kilometer. Munich’s 3,500 taxis are all cream coloured and an increasing number are people carriers for larger groups.
Taxis can be hailed in the street, picked up at a taxi rank, called by phone or even ordered online. A price of €90 is set for trips from the airport to the show taking approximately 35 minutes. With official taxis there is an initial fixed charge of €5.70 plus €2.50 charge per kilometre.

Apps
Ordering a taxi is even easier for Smartphone users with free downloadable apps like taxideutschland.net and taxi.eu. Both enable taxis to be booked without the need to speak to an operator. Uber is also available now in Munich.
Münchens. Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten, um von dort zum Messegelände oder in die Innenstadt zu gelangen: Shuttlebus, S-/U-Bahn und Taxi.
Der Shuttlebus zur Messe (Airport Messe München Shuttle) fährt alle 15 Minuten von 8:00 bis 17:00 Uhr und von der Messe zum Flughafen von 9:30 bis 18:00 Uhr. Die Haltestellen befinden sich direkt vor Terminal 1, Bereich MAC (München Airport Center) und am Terminal 2. Eine Fahrkarte kostet €11 für eine einfache Fahrt und €17 für Hin- und Rückfahrt. Die Fahrt dauert etwa 45 Minuten. Die Haltestelle des Express Bus befindet sich vor dem München Airport Center (MAC). Dieser zentrale Bereich des Flughafens nur einige Schritte von Terminal 1 und 2 entfernt.
S-/U-Bahn: Nehmen Sie die S8 bis zum Ostbahnhof, dann steigen
Sie um in die S4 oder S6 Richtung Ebersberg und steigen nach zwei Haltestellen in Trudering aus und wechseln schließlich in die U2 zur Messestadt. Bleiben Sie in der Bahn bis zum letzten Stopp - der Messestadt Ost, wenn Sie zu den Kranen und Arbeitsbühnen wollen. Fahrtzeit: rund eine Stunde. Die S-Bahnen in Richtung Innenstadt fahren im 10-Minuten-Takt.
Alternativ kann man mit der S1 bis zum Hauptbahnhof fahren und dort in die U2 umsteigen. Über diese Strecke gelangen Sie auch in die Innenstadt.
Airport
The Franz Joseph Strauss airport is located around 30km north of Munich, with several options to get to the exhibition or city centre including shuttle buses, trains, taxis and the S-Bahn.
The Shuttle Bus from the airport to the show runs every 15 minutes from 8.00 to 17.00, and from the show to the airport from 9.30 to 18.00. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes with a single tickets costing €11 and a return ticket €17. The buses can be found directly outside the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and terminate at the North Entrance of the exhibition.
S/U-Bahn: Take S8 to Ostbahnhof, then change to the S4 or S6 in the direction of Ebersberg. Get off after two stops at Trudering and switch to the U2 to Messestadt. Stay on the train until the last stop - Messestadt Ost for the cranes and access exhibits - allow an hour. Alternatively you can take the S1 suburban train to Feldmoching before getting on the U2 subway line directly to the exhibition centre. This is also the route you can take to get into the city centre. Any S-Bahn will take you there every 10 minutes.

Haxengrill
Das Wirtshaus im Scholastikahaus unweit von Marienplatz und Odeonplatz ist berühmt – wie könnte es anders sein? – für seine Haxn, die langsam über Buchenholz gegrillt werden. Seit 2024 in Händen der Augustiner-Brauerei, wurde aus dem Haxnbauer der Haxengrill. Eine halbe Haxe reicht für die meisten aus. Obwohl – richtige Männer bestellen natürlich eine ganze! Käfer-Schänke
Käfer steht für Feinkost – im Geschäft, als Partyservice und Gourmet-Restaurant. Nicht wirklich das günstigste Restaurant in der Stadt, dafür aber einer der Treffpunkte Nr.1 in München, edel und top. Selbst im Bundestag bewirtet Käfer.
Hier geht es um die Wurst, und die wird bei Glöckl zelebriert. Dieses traditionelle Wirtshaus serviert seit 1883 ausgezeichnete Bratwürste, die über einem Holzfeuer gegrillt werden. Unten ist es zwar meistens voll, aber oben findet sich immer noch ein Plätzchen. Dort herrscht vielleicht nicht dieselbe Atmosphäre, aber es ist allemal wert, wenn Sie Würstchen mögen. Zum Goldenen Kalb New York in München: Gehobenes Steakhouse direkt am Viktualienmarkt. Das Steak ist hier hochpreisig und von bester Qualität. Deswegen ist es hier auch schwer, einen Tisch ohne Reservierung zu bekommen. Die Einrichtung ist top, man sitzt an Holztischen und stilechten karierten Decken.

Nürnberger Bratwurst Glöckl am Dom
One of the best sausage places in town, this traditional Bavarian hostelry has been serving excellent bratwursts since 1883. Grilled over a wood fire this has to be on your list for this week. The downstairs is almost always full but the upstairs tends to have space. While the atmosphere is not as good as downstairs it is still worth it if you like sausages. Round it off with an excellent Augustiner beer reasonably priced - perfect.
Munich’s most famous discotheque was one of the most exclusive clubs in Germany: very hip and stylish, high celebrity density. Some hate it, others love it. Today the club lives on its old glory. Eye-catcher: the men’s WC with its trees.

Don’t skimp on spare ribs! Where high-quality vegetarian food was previously served, the meat nobility now reigns. Spare ribs, supposedly the best in the city, are available for €22 to €34.
A good local experience on the west side of the city this Bavarian restaurant, wine bar and beer garden offers very good food at reasonable prices.

Dating back in the 15th century it is the oldest ‘Weinhaus’ in Munich. Good beer, good food, and of course excellent wine. A little more expensive than most restaurants but very good and located in the city centre.
Numerous awards, including one Michelin star, testify to the innovative power of Sigi’s cuisine skills who took over the traditional location in July 2021. High-priced: in the evening, 5-course menu for €240. Wednesday to Friday business lunch for a stable price of €135 and €155 (3/4 courses).
The Golden Calf, New York in Munich, an upscale Steakhouse right on the Viktualienmarkt. The steak here is high-priced and of the highest quality. As a result, it is also difficult to get a table without a reservation. The decor is interesting and you sit at wooden tables and with plaid cushions.
In this classical ‘wirtshaus’ on Marienplatz with a quiet courtyard, you can enjoy typical Bavarian cuisine and a lot from the in-house butchery. Try the calf’s milk sausage or Lüngerl (little lung). But they also have Pinsa or a bowl.
If you prefer vegan, you can head to the Vietnamese restaurant Soy in Maxvorstadt, the Café Omo in the Glockenbachviertel with Ethiopian specialties or the Secret Garden, a purely vegan sushi restaurant in the old town with red wild rice in its sushi creations. The Green Beetle is a fine dining restaurant with (not only) vegetarian and vegan cuisine and sustainable design in Bogenhausen and a green Michelin star.
Bayern und München sind weltbekannt für ihre vorzüglichen Biere. Auch hier wird das deutsche Reinheitsgebot selbstverständlich strengstens eingehalten: Bier, Hopfen und Malz – Gott erhalt’s. Die meisten Brauereien wurden in Bayern von Mönchen gegründet, um die Fastenzeit „gut zu überstehen“ und zudem eine gute Einnahmequelle zu haben. Zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts gab es an die 30.000 Brauereien dort! Auch heute gibt es noch 622 Brauereien in Bayern – faktisch also fast die Hälfte aller deutschen Brauereien. Allein Bayerns Brauer produzieren über 23 Millionen Liter pro Jahr und stellen mehr als 40 Sorten her – mit nur vier Zutaten. Alleine rund sieben Millionen Liter werden während des zweiwöchigen Oktoberfestes konsumiert, das seit 1810 in München Ende September bis Anfang Oktober stattfindet.
Bayrische Brauereien
Die weltweit älteste Brauerei, das Kloster Weihenstephan, wurde 1040 in Bayern gegründet, als die Mönche von Weihenstephan die Erlaubnis erhielten, den Gerstensaft zu brauen. Sie tun es noch heute. Zu den bekanntesten Brauereien zählen Löwenbräu, Hofbräu, Paulaner, Augustiner und Hacker-Pschorr. Alle führen große Gaststätten oder Bierkeller, wo natürlich ihre Biere aus dem Zapfhahn fließen. Und viele führen auch Besucher durch ihre Brauereien.
Augustiner Stammhaus
Eine der nettesten Gaststätten in der Stadt, nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt. Das Gasthaus hat zahlreiche unterschiedliche Räume. Das Bier dieser alten Brauerei – gegründet 1294 – ist exzellent (man sagt, es verursache kein Kopfweh) und wird seit 1885 hier gebraut. Das Haus stammt indes aus dem Jahre 1896. Das Essen ist sehr gut, und das Fleisch wird in der eigenen Metzgerei geschlachtet.

Hofbräuhaus
Mitten im Zentrum gelegen, ist das Hofbräuhaus zweifelsohne das bekannteste aller Bierhäuser. Die große Halle scheint immer voll zu sein, aber es findet sich meist ein Platz an einem Tisch. Eine typisch bayrische Combo bläst die klassische Bierhaus-Musi. Und das Hofbräuhaus hat mit „Wie schön ist’s im Hofbräuhaus!“ ein eigenes Lied. Hier wird es schwierig, ein Bier unter einem Liter zu bekommen: Die Maß ist das Maß aller Dinge. Das Essen ist ordentlich, nicht unbedingt auf einen Gourmet ausgerichtet, aber deswegen geht man ja auch nicht ins Hofbräuhaus.
Typisch bayrischer Barock, mit ebenfalls einer riesigen Halle mit verschiedenen Ebenen und guten traditionellen Mahlzeiten. Nicht ganz so rustikal wie im Hofbräuhaus.
Helles ist das beliebteste Bier in München. Das Lager-Bier hat eine goldgelbe Farbe und einen Alkoholgehalt von rund 5 Prozent. An heißen Tagen absolut eine Empfehlung.
Pilsner, oft einfach Pils genannt, kommt dem Hellen sehr nahe, wird aber von „wahren“ Münchner in die Kategorie Yuppie-Bier eingestuft und üblicherweise auch mal in
0,3l-Gläsern serviert. Etwas herber als das Helle. Dunkles ist durch seine Farbe gekennzeichnet, ist nichtsdestotrotz ein Lager-Bier und wird mit gebranntem Malz gebraut. Es ist etwas süßlicher und hat in der Regel einen Alkoholgehalt von 4,3 Prozent. Weizenbier, Weißbier (oder auch das Hefeweizen und das Weizen) hat mit 5 bis 6 Prozent in Bayern schon mehr Alkohol und ist der Klassiker, wenn die Sonne in den Biergarten einlädt. Es wird in den dazu typischen Gläsern serviert.
Bavaria and Munich in particular is famous the world over for its superb beer. Bavarians rigidly observe the Reinheitsgebot purity law of 1516 that states that only four ingredients may be used, barley, hops, yeast and water. Most breweries were founded by monks as a way to find a replacement for food during Lent and to make money. There are still around 650 breweries in Bavaria, representing more than five percent of the world’s breweries - and half of all the breweries in Germany. They produce over 23.3 million litres a year and make over 40 different types. Around 6.3 million litres are consumed during the two-week Oktoberfest, held (nearly) every year since 1810.
Bavarian Breweries
The world’s oldest brewery was established in Bavaria in 1040 when the monks of the Weihenstephan monastery near Freising were granted a licence to brew beer by the city’s bishop. They are still brewing beer today. The best known of the Munich Breweries are Löwenbräu, Hofbräu, Paulaner, Augustiner, Spaten and HackerPschorr. All of them have large beer halls, houses or kellers where their wares can be sampled. Many of the breweries are also open for tours. The three beer halls below include two of the most famous in Munich.
Augustiner Großgaststätte
One of the nicest in town, a 10 minute walk from the main station. With many different rooms it is large. The beer from this old brewery, founded in 1294, is excellent and was brewed on this site until 1885. The current building dates from 1896. The food here is very good, with the meat coming from its own butchers’ shop.
Located right in the centre of town the Hofbräuhaus is probably the most famous beer hall in Munich, if not the world. The huge hall always appears full, but you can always find a place to squeeze into. A typical Bavarian band is invariably playing typical Umpah type music, which usually leads to mass singing. The Hofbräuhaus even has its own song, “wie schon ist’s im Hofbräuhaus!”. You will find it tough to get a glass or stein smaller than a litre here. The food is OK, not exactly gourmet, but then that is not why you go to the Hofbräuhaus! A popular last stop for the powered access fraternity after dinner.

Löwenbräukeller
Very Bavarian Baroque, another
large hall, with several levels and reasonable traditional food. The beer, Löwenbräu, is of course world famous. A less rustic atmosphere than the Hofbräuhaus.
Helles is the most popular beer in Munich and also one of its most recent, having been introduced in 1895. It is a lager type beer described as being “translucent gold” in colour. With a strength of around 5% it is best drunk when the weather is hot.
Pilsner or rather Pils, roughly the same colour as Helles, but considered by serious Müncheners as a bit of a “yuppy” beer, it usually comes in a smaller 30cl glass complete with a little doily. More bitter than Helles, it also takes
forever to pour.
Dunkles the dark beer, but still a lager style beer. Brewed with a burnt malt it has a slightly sweet taste and is lower in alcohol at around 4.3%.
Wheat Beer or “Hefeweizen” is a Bavarian classic for the beer garden. It is one of the stronger beers with an alcohol content of 5 to 6% and is typically served in tall glasses.
