With nothing but the stars above to glisten

CRAIGIE'S Pickle Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

Brine:

• 2 cup white vinegar

• 2 cup water

• 2 tbsp salt

• 1 tbsp dill seed

• 1/2 tsp mustard seed

• 2 sprigs fresh dill

• 2 bay leaves

• 1 tbsp peppercorns

• 7 cloves of garlic

Vegetables:

• 2 Carrots

• 1/2 White Onion

• 3 Cucumbers (kirby cucumbers are the best)

• 1 Zucchini

• 1 Jalapeno

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Chop the vegetables any way you like. For carrots, I like to do thin, vertical strips. For the onion, I cut the half into quarters and then peel off individual slices. For the cucumbers, you can do vertical quarters if you like spears or you can cut small round slices if you like chips. Same for the zucchini. Finally, for the jalapeno, cut it into small slices and add as many as your spice preference desires.

2. In a saucepan boil the water, vinegar and salt. Stir the salt in until it dissolves. Place your dill seed, mustard seed, fresh dill, bay leaves, peppercorns and garlic into a sterilized jar. Add in your chopped vegetables and then pour the brine over the vegetables until jar is full. Set aside to cool until they are room temperature, then put them in the fridge.

3. Can be eaten at anytime but best taste starts after 10 days or so. Keep refrigerated.

Chorus: G7

Verse 2:

I get advice from musicians, I get advice from thieves, sometimes it’s totally different, sometimes it’s the same thing. Steal a lot from one person and they call the cops, steal a little from everyone, you rise to the top. I’m hustlin’, baby And the government wants me to give ‘em some cash money, I used to have but I no longer have. Just cause I made it, don’t mean I saved it. I ain’t that smart I ain’t that complacent. And you’re the last people I wanna give it to I don’t trust how you spend it, you don’t spend it like I do. I got a little bit of money for a little bit of thrills, I’m paying my rent in dollar bills

(Chorus)

Verse 3:

I don’t know how I’m gonna find ya, babe it’s hard for me. You’re always 2,000 miles from wherever I play. And you want some kids maybe I want ’em too. Can we get ourselves a old one, maybe 22? Ain’t got no college loans, ain’t got no other debts too. He could smoke with me, he could drink with you. He could be my drummer, David Crosby does that He didn’t raise his kids neither, honey, how ‘bout that (Chorus)
