“Light/time, architectural space and plaster are the newest expressive elements I’m exploring in my search for moments of visual excitement and wonder, which, when the art is successful, trigger an involuntary, near-physical response that makes one want to look at the work again and again and again enriched by the experience every time anew” Felix Baudenbacher Baudenbacjer’s principal drive is to achieve a finely worked-out balance between form, colour and materiality with art in the public domain a recent expansion of his practice beyond the gallery walls. From 15 March to 14 May 2017 canvas and plaster works by the artist are installed throughout the lobby of The Exhibitionist Hotel with light and motion paintings – in constant state of evolution installed in the main stairwell and the bar.
