The Artist British ar tist Cléon Daniel is known for his extraordinary designs, drawings and installations. As a creator of ‘Unventions’, a book he published in 2011, Cléon playfully argues that every invention has an equal and opposite ‘Unvention’. His quirky and thought provoking ‘objets de désir’ include a neon football table, doughnut pool table, corner ladder and of course, the worlds first banana shaped pool table. In the studio, new commissions are under taken with close conversation with the client. Each production is carried out by Cléon, along with a team of master craftsmen. Work begins with hand selected woods, as well as carefully planned options including engravings and custom leathers.

The design was first created in 2012 and has since been handmade to commission for clients living in a world without corners. Each table is crafted from English ash, solid brass, high grade leather, and the finest cloth.

How it’s Made
Each of the seven pentagonal legs is made from two angular sawn sections, before being mor tised and hand turned.

After the delicate process of lamination, the wood is sanded, routed and joined. The side cushions are made in a similar way, this time using the outer cur ve of the wood as their template.

Four individual colours make up the hundreds and thousands, so that four players can play at the same time.
