One Homeless Veteran Is One Too Many.
Veterans Community Project was founded by a group of combat Veterans in Kansas City, MO who were frustrated by the rampant homelessness and barriers to support faced by their fellow Veterans.
VCP’s solution: a transitional tiny home village with wrap-around services designed to address the underlying causes of each Veteran’s homelessness and a Veterans Outreach Center open to all Veterans in need of assistance, regardless of time served, discharge status or type of service.
“When I stepped into that house and had my own things after being homeless for 4 or 5 years ... it was almost too good to be true.
I got my pride back, which was a big thing for me.”

With the support of their case managers and battle buddies, Veterans work to achieve incremental, lasting results in the areas of health and wellness, income stability, education and training, fiscal understanding, and the development of a personal support network.
Once the Veteran’s individual goals are met, VCP assists him or her in securing a permanent housing solution and transitioning to a new life.
