I am a huge rat lover! I've loved rats since before I even had rats... I was always intrigued by how social and smart they are. I started nagging my Mom about getting a pet rat when I was about 25(and still living at home), and of course, being an old farm girl, flat out said, "No!" So, I started reading up on Rats, on their diets, their socialization habits, pretty much anything I could learn about rats, I did. Then I moved out and married a man who coincidentally, had previously had a pet rat... And one day in January 2010, we decided to adopt a pair of girls, and then have been being collected by ratties ever since. We started out with 2, and currently have 9, with 3 having passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. We love our ratties, like they are our own children, and since we are incapable of having biological children, Ratties will ALWAYS be a part of our lives. To me, they ARE my life.
