Advanced Mechatronics Career Studies Certificate
Intended for students with an electrical and/or automation background, students who complete this program have the skills to work as a Mechatronics Entry Level Maintenance Technician or Senior Level Industrial Machine Operator. This Advanced Mechatronics CSC program is the second part in a pathway to the Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Technology-Specialization in Mechatronics. Level 1, Applied Mechatronics CSC is a prerequisite for Advanced Mechatronics. This program aids in preparing students that are eligible to sit for the Siemens Test
Program Length 1 year (3 semesters) Career Opportunities Electrician, Electrical/Electronics or Industrial Maintenance Technician, Industrial Field Service, or Maintenance Supervisor.

G3 Eligible This program is G3 eligible. G3 Scholarships cover tuition and fees for Virginia residents of modest income who are pursuing high demand careers.
Tuition & Fees At only $157 per credit hour, you’ll save $10K to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.
With 20+ years of experience as well as an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology, Siemens Certifications in Mechatronics instruction, Donnie Melvin is well versed in commercial and industrial maintenance and brings extensive practical, realworld experience to the classroom.
