Advanced Practical Electrical Technician Career Studies Certificate
Intended for students with an electrical technology background, this program is the second part in a pathway to the Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Technology. This program aids in preparing students that are eligible to sit for the NEC Journeyman’s license.
Program Length 1 year (3 semesters) Career Opportunities Electrician’s helper, Electrical/ Industrial Technical Sales Assistant.

G3 Eligible This program is G3 eligible. G3 Scholarships cover tuition and fees for Virginia residents of modest income who are pursuing high demand careers.

to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.
With 20+ years of experience as well as an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology and Siemens Certifications in Mechatronics instruction, Donnie Melvin is well versed in commercial and industrial maintenance and brings extensive practical, real-world experience to the classroom.
