Advanced Welding - Day Career Studies Certificate
This program is the second part of the Technical Studies in the Welding AAS degree. Welding CSC - Level 1 is a pre-requisite. This program is a continuation of educational training introduced in Welding CSC - Level 1, focusing on Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. Students will also receive training in Oxyfuel and Plasma Arc Cutting. Coursework for this program is offered during the day.
Program Length 1/2 year (1 semester) Career Opportunities Advanced trained manual or semiautomatic welders are in high demand.

G3 Eligible This program is G3 eligible. G3 Scholarships cover tuition and fees for Virginia residents of modest income who are pursuing high demand careers.

to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.
Eddie Fultz has a Certificate as well as an Associate’s Degree in Welding from Mountain Empire Community College. With decades of industry experience, he provides a comprehensive educational experience for students interested in this high demand field.
