Electricity Certificate
The Certificate program in Electricity is designed to prepare you for full-time employment as an electrician, immediately upon completion of the program. A student who completes the program is capable of performing the job skills normally expected of beginning electricians, working with a licensed electrician.
Program Length 1 year (2 semesters) Career Opportunities Residential, industrial or maintenance electrician.

G3 Eligible This program is G3 eligible. G3 Scholarships cover tuition and fees for Virginia residents of modest income who are pursuing high demand careers.
Tuition & Fees At only $162.11 per credit hour, you’ll
save $10K to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.
With 20+ years of experience as well as an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology and Siemens Certifications in Mechatronics instruction, Donnie Melvin is well versed in commercial and industrial maintenance and brings extensive practical, real-world experience to the classroom.
