Foundations of Criminal Justice Career Studies Certificate

This program in the Foundations of Criminal Justice is designed to use as a stackable credential in the Criminal Justice AAS degree. You will learn about the criminal justice system and theories and policies related to the causes of crime and punishment. Upon completion, you are eligible to take Corrections (Level 2) or Law Enforcement (Level 2).

Tuition & Fees At only $162.11 per credit hour, you’ll save $10K

to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.

Robin Widener has a B.A. in Sociology, an M.S. in Criminal Justice, and an M.A. degree in Human Services Counseling: Crisis Response and Trauma. She has over 27 years of experience in the Criminal Justice System and is a guest instructor for several state and local organizations.
