Nursing Track 3 Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree
This rigorous program is designed to prepare students for a career as a nurse. Those who complete the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree will have a firm foundation in nursing with more than 500 hours of hands-on clinical instruction, preparing graduates to deliver quality patient care. Additionally, this program prepares graduates for the National Council Licensure Examination Nurse (NCLEX-RN) for licensure as an entry-level registered nurse (RN).
Program Length Completion of prerequisite general education courses and 8 semesters of nursing courses.
Career Opportunities RNs work in a variety of healthcare settings ranging from hospitals, home health and medical offices to assisted-living and long-term care facilities, industry and schools.

Tuition & Fees At only $167.40 per credit hour, you’ll save $10K to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.
Kathryn “Katie” Justice has more than 26 years of experience in nursing with a passion for helping others. She has a Master’s in Nursing Education from Liberty University, and a BSN from King College. She earned her associate degree in Nursing from SWCC. She also has a Post-Graduate certificate in Family Practitioner.
