Technical Studies in Diesel Evening Program Associate of Applied Science
Would you like to become a Diesel Mechanic? The Technical Studies in Diesel Mechanics AAS will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge to obtain a position in diesel mechanics whiel also providing you with an associate of applied science degree. You will learn PMI and air brakes plus gain certifications in air conditioning and other skills through NC3 and AVI. You will also learn other heavy-duty truck basic skills. Additionally, you will explore machining, industrial safety, blueprint reading and other technical and professional courses designed for your career success.

in Heavy-Duty Truck garages, dealerships, and other transportation businesses.

tuition and fees for Virginia residents of modest income who are pursuing high demand careers.

$22K in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.
With over 17 years experience in the field plus MACS and NC3 Diesel certifications, Mr. Harless is very knowledgeable and brings real word experience to the classroom and lab. He continues to stay up to date with trainings in the ever-changing Diesel Mechanic/Technician world.
