Science Wildlife Science Associate of Arts and Science
The Wildlife Sciences pathway is best for transfer students who are pursuing a career in working for the preservation of endangered species of animals and plants, management of ecosystems, and environmental regulations and policies. Graduates should be able to successfully transfer to a four-year college to complete a bachelor’s degree in science to pursue employment opportunities in research, field work, and laboratory science.
Program Length 2 years (4 semesters)
Transfer Objectives Wildlife biology, pre-veterinary, wildlife conservation, wildlife ecology, fish and wildlife management.

A native of Southwest Virginia, Ben brings a passion for the land and culture of Appalachia to the program. With degrees in Agriculture and Horticulture from Virginia Tech, Prescott College, and Virginia Highlands, Casteel is well versed in the knowledge and skills of the green industries.
