CULT COFFEE HOUSE a b out the project Cult Coffee is a conceptual coffee brand created for people who would devote themselves to the perfect cup of coffee. Cult Coffee offers meticulously handcrafted, house-brewed goodness for coffee enthusiasts. A clean, simple and contemporary visual approach was created for the original brand identity with the target audience of hip, young, creative people in mind. The signature was then applied to a packaging system for the coffee house’s essential products.

NAPA VALLEY COLLEC TION a b out the project The goal of this project was to redesign wine labels for the Napa Valley Collection of JAQK Cellars – a new wine company in the Bay Area. JAQK Cellars labels are known for their beautiful and minimalistic illustrations. However, the visual approach for this project focuses more on typography, in which elegant type treatment is the focal point of each label. They maintain the high class look of the brand and also help customers to quickly find the type of wines they’re looking for.

FEED THE ANIMALS a b out the project The goal of this project was to produce a limited edition cd package for DJ Girl Talk’s Feed The Animals album. This is the fourth album of DJ Girl Talk (Gregg Gillis) who is known for his music style “mash-up,” in which he takes samples from various songs to create one seamless, catchy tune. A mixture of collage-style and vector graphics are the main visual elements in order to reflect this characteristic of his music. Minimalistic typography was incorporated to create visual balance. A slipcase with die-cut logo was made to give the package a unique appeal.

CHUPA CHUPS CHOCOLATE a b out the project Chupa Chups is globally well-loved lollipop that offers a wide range of flavors for the smart and savvy consumers. The challenge of this project was to create an original packaging for a conceptual chocolate line which has never been in their product category. As the primary target audience are young adults from 14–24, a line of artisan chocolates with funny pop-culture inspired names and eye-catching wrappers were developed. Original patterns were made for specific flavor. A new, contemporary typeface KULT was designed to complete the visual appeal of the products as well.

COPY PASTE MAGAZINE a b out the project COPYPASTE is a magazine about design and culture. With the target audience of creative young people, the magazine features articles about current design trends, popular artists and designers, lifestyle and culture, accompanied by dynamic, appealing layouts. COPYPASTE is an inspirational source for everyone who is interested in art, design, and culture.

CHILDREN’S CREATIVITY MUSEUM a b out the project The Children’s Creativity Museum, formerly known as Zeum, is an interactive art and technology museum for kids located in the Yerba Buena complex in San Francisco. The goal of this project was to design a promotional brochure for the museum to help expand its demographics and increase its membership and attendance. Cute, kid-friendly graphics and a vibrant color scheme have been incorporated into the aesthetic of the overall design and also to help maintain the consistency of the Children’s Creativity Museum’s new brand image. A set of original icons was created to strengthen the hierarchy of the given information. The brochure turns into a coloring poster for the kids when it’s fully opened, adding the interactive touch — one of the brand’s core elements. A die-cut sticker of all the brand’s new mascots is included in the brochure as a giveaway.

CLASSIC APPLE POSTCARDS a b out the project From their very first computer without a monitor to the touch-screen technology on their shiny iPads, Apple has come a long way to be the biggest technology company in the world. This project was a quick look back to some of Apple’s iconic devices and was also a tribute to Steve Jobs, the late CEO of the company. A halftone image treatment, hand-drawn typography and a muted color palette were incorporated to create a 70’s era look for the postcards. Each postcard provides general information about the device on the front and back. This would be an unique gift for Apple enthusiasts.

GUITAR CENTER REBRAND a b out the project As the leading retailer of musical instruments in the United States, Guitar Center’s current identity reflects poorly the company’s position in the industry. It is outdated and conservative. A new contemporary and more legible identity, and a new corporate color were created to bring a fresh, positive image to better represent the company and its position.

FLAX REBRAND a b out the project FLAX is a well-known San Francisco retail art supply store that has been serving the Bay Area since 1938. The existing FLAX logo lacks any reference to art. With that in mind, the goal was to incorporate an “art� element into the new logo to better represent the company. The pencil was chosen as it is one of the most recognizable art symbols. Utilizing the negative space in the letter A, the pencil symbol was incorporated seamlessly into the new identity and make it memorable to FLAX customers. It also differentiates FLAX from its competitors, who use the painting palette in their logos.

FLAX iPHONE APP a b out the project This project is an extension of a rebranding project for Flax. Flax Art is an intuitive iPhone application for Flax’s customers to keep in touch with the latest news from the store. Its purpose is to provide customers information about their newest sale events, current exhibits and workshops, gift ideas, hours and directions to the store. A set of icons was developed for easy navigation within the app.

*TIKI.VN is an e-commerce website based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. They offer a wide range of products including books, hi-tech devices and gifts. With outstanding customer service, Tiki.vn wants their logo to reflect the friendliness of the brand, hence the Tiki Care Bear mascot.
SPACESPEACKERS is the next top recording studio based in Hanoi, Vietnam. With a group of talented music producers, rappers and vocalists, SpaceSpeakers’s goal is to set a new standards for the Vietnamese music scene with their edgy and catchy tunes whether it be hiphop, r&b, trance or dubstep.
*ZOKUS is a streetwear clothing company based in Boston, Massachusetts. Zokus collaborates with different designers from different places all over the world to create their own apparels. As “ZOKUS” means “tribes” in Japanese, the company hopes to become the tribe of all tribes when it comes to streetwear goods.
DESIGN UNITED is an invitation-based portal for designers all over the world to “unite”, showcase their works and get feedback from one another. As an exclusive place, Design United’s goal is to help designers create their own professional networks, as well as to inspire them to do their best, since only the best works from the leading professionals are submitted to the site.
Sweat & Pixels was founded by two best friends who are originally from Vietnam. With knowledge in typography and contemporary design, they create icons, illustrations, mobile apps with a minimalistic approach. They aim to be discrete and distinctive. S&P always aim for quality, as it is their ultimate goal.
PROBEAT is an online music blog and magazine with a focus on the current hiphop culture in the United States. With constant updates on current hiphop trends, upcoming rappers and album reviews, Probeat provides an interesting insight into the everchanging music scene.
DESIGNERD is a blog about design. There are all sorts of articles for those who want to look for inspiration. Their goal is to be an open channel to the design community where everybody can share images that inspire them with fellow like-minded people.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF DIGITAL DATA a b out the project ”A Brief History Of Digital Data” is a short, informative animation with an educational purpose of providing general knowledge about digital data storage: the history, the devices, and the facts. In short, it’s an infographic in motion. Minimalistic illustrations, clean typography and a limited color palette were incorporated with upbeat music to help engage the audience and maintain their attention throughout the animation.
