WELCOME! Dear Friends of the Castro Street Fair, I would like to thank you for your support year after year with your time, donations and great attitude. Our board of directors has been lucky to be able to produce this event, for and with our hard working beneficiaries, to raise funds for their causes. The Castro Street Fair is a true labor of love and it shows in the final product -- a fun, safe, and colorful event. Go to our website and find out more about who we are raising this money for. You may find that you have some extra time and heart to help these organizations with your expertise. As most of you know, this is not a free party. We work all year long with a careful eye on our budget, to be sure that after the fair we can make the largest possible donation to the non-profits in need. Every penny we raise goes either to the beneficiaries, permitting, clean-up or production. All of the entertainers, security, beer pourers, gate staff, the entire board of directors, including myself, are all volunteers. Your donations at the gate are super important and help to keep this great event alive. This year, the Castro has seen some big changes, and is now enhanced with wider sidewalks, coated in the vivid color. We celebrate this in our promotion, gate sticker and annual tee. Make sure to grab your shirt at the Info Booth on Market and Castro as we always sell out. “Cute Froot” is the theme and we hope you arrive in your most colorful, cutest and fruitiest looks. As always, we have some great music on all our stages. The Sundance Saloon area behind the Castro Theatre is always wildly entertaining. The dance areas in the parking lot off of 18th Street and at 18th and Collingwood will feature our nightlife’s best DJs, legendary and up and coming. Among other great musical acts, Pop Rocks returns to close out the main stage with your poppy favorites. For a wackier, sexier time make your way down to the new Milky Way (18th Street between Noe and Sanchez Streets). This year the muchloved, adult-oriented art block will be curated by Uel, nightlife photographer and curator of the Unicorn bazaar and dance parties at Powerhouse. Many interactive installations and photo opps will be displayed in the “frooty” theme. Please thank these artists for being generous with their time and talents, making this area so wild. So let’s have fun, donate, have some drinks with friends, dance with new pals and remember that we are doing this for great causes. Your friend, JUAN GARCIA President of the Castro Street Fair

EMCEE: HONEY MAHOGANY is an international drag performer and budding recording artist. She initially gained worldwide fame as a cast member on season five of the cult phenomenon, RuPaul’s Drag Race. She hosts her own weekly drag show, and has also appeared in numerous theatrical productions including Dirty Little Showtunes and Halloween: The Ballad of Michelle Meyers. This queen bee also held starring roles in several Peaches Christ Productions including The Craft and the infamous 16th anniversary of Showgirls. itshoney.com EMCEE: VIVVYANNE FOREVERMORE! is a tornado in a dress. She hosts the weekly Friday night DragArtDance Party Club SOME THING at the legendary Stud Bar. Her awkwardness is only surpassed by her desire for you to like her. She has performed nationally and internationally and was once described by the New York Times as “...and one drag queen.” DRIPPIN’ WITH SWEAT is a monthly dance/workout event presented by choreographers Monica Mark and Rory Davis. Designed for non-dancers, the class is ‘flash mob’ style routines set to ‘80s classics and onehit-wonders. Dancers are encouraged to dress in vintage workout gear and sing along. Combining theater, dance, exercise and drag, Drippin’ With Sweat has become the “can’t-miss” dance class in the Bay Area.

POP ROCKS is the ultimate dance band: High energy hits of the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s and today. Nothing but fun songs to keep you on the dance floor all night. Pop Rocks delivers hits, enthusiasm and a fun spirit. This band will leave everyone in awe of their positive energy. (Sponsored by Jay Siegan Presents) AVENUE Q is the Tony Award winning, laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. Once there, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet sexpert), Lucy the Slut (need we say more?) and other colorful types who help Princeton finally discover his purpose in life! AIDEN JAMES is an international singer-songwriter touring behind his new album, the 100% fan-funded “Trouble With This.” The 29-year-old Philadelphia native completely engineered, mixed and produced the album, which climbed to number 28 on iTunes Top 100 Charts. Aiden’s ability to deliver a powerful live show, paired with his songwriting, arranging, composing and technical skills with work in Logic Pro surely makes him the “new” breed of songster. This inspired him to start his own record label, “Songster Sounds.” BIG DIPPER is a Chicago born, Brooklyn-based queer rapper. His crazy antics, exciting live shows, and infectious music make him the most exciting independent rap act to watch this year. facebook.com/ bigdipperjelly and bigdippermusic.tumblr.com MONSTER SHOW, winner of “The Best Drag Show” in the SF Bay Guardian Readers’ Poll, returns to the Castro Street Fair main stage. Now entering their 10th year in the Castro, Monster Show plays to packed houses every Thursday night at the Edge Bar. DJ MC2 was born with a tone-arm and a love for dance music, and started DJing at a very early age in the clubs and bars of Hawaii. Upon moving to San Francisco, DJ MC2 has played to packed dance floors throughout SF, as well as captivating large crowds at California’s Great America Pride Night, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Folsom Street Fair, and the Castro Street Fair.

Riley Patrick Brian Maier Dan DeLeon Robin Simmons

ROBIN SIMMONS is a DJ, graphic designer, party promoter and incredibly grateful human being. He has been blessed with opportunities such as teaching the DJ class at UC Berkeley, running a private afterhours loft in downtown San Francisco, throwing events at Public Works, Beatbox and The Stud, and DJing alongside greats such as Horse Meat Disco, Andy Riley (Inland Knights) and David Harness. You can catch him enjoying regular DJ gigs at The Powerhouse, El Rio, Q bar, and more. djrobinsimmons.com DAN DE LEON has forged a maverick career as DJ, music producer and filmmaker. De Leon’s productions have hit the Billboard Top 10 Dance Chart and have appeared on the world’s top DJ compilations. In 2012 he founded his own label, PUMP Records. Remixes and releases are available at iTunes, Beatport and Amazon Digital. djdandeleon.com BRIAN MAIER has been DJing since 2002, when a lifelong fascination of music and melody crystallized into a passion with making people move. While Brian always had a natural knack for rhythms and tones, it was the art of dance music that really drew him in as a way of combining his multiple musical quirks into a coherent, artistic medium. Brian also believes in including artists and mashups that people are familiar with to keep them engaged and excited. Find Brian’s full catalogue of podcasts at his website. djbrianmaier.com RILEY PATRICK spent the majority of his teen years in the Bay Area rave scene, admiring local DJs. Heavily influenced by the sounds of UK Garage, Bassline and Jungle, he brings that underground aesthetic to every set. At the same time, having a soft spot for ‘90s R&B and pop, he never forgets to throw in the memorable vocals from his youth. Hear his current mixtape series, Royal House, on SoundCloud. soundcloud.com/rileypatricksf
