Bandpass enclosures simply get the best performance out of a subwoofer. If done correctly they are more powerful; up to 3 times that of normal sealed or ported enclosure. The main reason for this is that the subwoofer placed inside the enclosure and can be worked much harder; this is due to pressure on the front and back of the cone. 4th Order bandpass is widely considered to be the best of the bandpass variants as it combines the best of the sealed box and vented box features. Bandpass enclosures offer extended deeper bass and in some cases can be tuned to deliver harder tighter bass then sealed enclosures. Overall, bandpass enclosures give you; better efficiency from subwoofer and amplifier, considerably more volume and bass presence and a bigger deeper bass sound. This is all achieved with a moderately sized enclosure. The bandpass enclosures take this design to the max producing bass you never thought would be possible from an enclosure of this size.
