VILLEGAS RESIDENCE This Project is one of my very first Drafting Design projects I acquired when starting to provide drafting service. It consisted of taking off the original Gable type roof over the house and a flat roof over the Garage. I designed a second story to go over the first floor consisting of 4 Bedrooms and 2 Baths. The first floor received a Kitchen remodel, the demo of a few walls for an open floor plan and staircase access. A new roof to match was placed over the garage area. The Project was built.

He asked if I was interested in donating my time and expertise and put together the construction documents for a Healing Garden in South Pasadena. My duties were to take the already created landscape design and layout workable plans. I laid out the plans with dimensions and added details like the arches and concrete benches. MONTIJO RESIDENCE This project is a remodel and addition to a single family dwelling. The customer wanted to change the complete look of the house to a Spanish Mediterranean style. The house was a two bedroom home, but one bedroom was too small. I added one new full bedroom, a master bedroom and a great room with a higher ceiling. Making it a three bedroom house. The plan was submitted and laid out as Type ‘V.’ Due to the complexity of the roof, I utilized a Structural Engineer to oversee and produce calculations. This project was built. 66’ MUSTANG - PERSONAL INTEREST This is a project of my 66’ Mustang. The car was in working order but the engine clanked and the exhaust gave off white smoke. I purchased a repair manual and began to troubleshoot. I removed the valve cover and discovered that the smoke was from a faulty header, and several of the pushrods were broken. My son and I removed the header and sent it out for rebuild.

PUSH ROD HEADER

The engine block had a bunch of grime and we removed the residue for clean performance. Below is a before and after image.

Below is an image of the reinstalled header which my son and I torqued down and adjusted the rocker arms with the proper ignition timing. The carburetor was also rebuilt. The car is still a work in progress but is now running like new.
