Outdoor Adventures Programs

Join the gardens as you explore and learn with our fun selfguided activity kits. Registration is required and includes everything you need to participate in the program. Outdoor Adventures Activity Kits will be available outside the Raymond Family Education Center from 1-3:30pm on the day of the program. Kits will include activities for self-guided exploration. Ages 4 -11 but all are welcome. Sponsored by Montclair State University & The Albert Payson Terhune Foundation. Registration required by the Sunday prior to each class. FREE for Members; $15 for nonmembers.

Don’t miss the Annual Van Vleck Plant Sale, the perfect place to stock up on unique perennials and shrubs to help spruce up your garden just in time for warmer weather! They will have edibles, beautiful flowers and deer-resistant options—whatever your garden needs!

New this year, we be a special Native Plants section with a guest expert on hand to answer your questions. Van Vleck’s knowledgeable Garden Staff and volunteers will be onsite to offer tips and recommendations. Be sure to come early for the biggest selection, as the plants sell out quickly! Members of Van Vleck enjoy a 10% discount on all items. Plant Sale is open to the public, rain or shine.
