1. Call us at 773.445.3838
2. In person at the front desk
3. Go online at: https://thebeverlyartscenter.com and click the links in the online catalog!
The BAC encourages registering in advance. The BAC may cancel a class that does not reach minimum enrollment 24 hours before the first class of the session. While the BAC does accept sign-ups the day classes begin, patrons should be aware that registration may be unavailable if the class is full or has been canceled due to low enrollment.
There are applicable fees added on top of the event and registration cost.
School of Fine Arts inquiries can be directed to sofa@beverlyartcenter. org or frontdeskstaff@beverlyartcenter.org.
Registration deadlines:
All classes that meet the minimum number of enrollment will remain open for registration until the end of the first week of each session. There will be no late registration fee. However, no classes can be prorated should a student want to enroll after the registration deadline.
Any classes that do not meet minimum enrollment may be canceled before the first day of the session.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Payment Plans
The BAC offers a payment plan to patrons with a minimum purchase of $190 a session. Patrons pay 50% down upon registration. The Fall deadline is Monday, October 4th, 2024. Payment plans must be made in person at the front desk. Payments may be made by cash, check, or credit/ debit card. Full payment may be made any time prior to the fifth week of the session. Payment plans require a signed credit card authorization form.
If the patron drops the class at any time during the session, charges will still apply. Membership discounts and sale prices apply.
Multiple Child Discount
The BAC offers a sibling discount of 5% off the member or non-member tuition price for the second sibling in the same class or camp. All siblings following the second sibling receive 10% off tuition price for the same class or camp. No sibling discounts will be applied to private lessons.
SOFA Multi-Class Membership
For only $30.00 a year, patrons may purchase a membership that applies to all SOFA classes. This membership gives a patron 15% off all classes when purchasing 2 classes or more (and when purchased at the same time). This discount is only valid for classes in the same session (i.e. 2 classes purchased for the Winter Session at the same time will give a patron 15% off the final price) and limited to one household. This membership can be purchased through the Front Desk only. Membership does not apply to private lessons.
Photography Release
By registering for a class, the patron grants the Beverly Arts Center permission to photograph or video their child’s participation in the Beverly Arts Center’s education programs. The patron also grants the BAC permission to use their or their child’s likeness for use by media publication and institutes that fund the BAC’s operations and programs.
Tuition & Refunds / CLASSES
Full tuition is refunded only for classes or workshops canceled by the BAC. No refunds will be offered once a class has begun, even if the student is absent for the first day of class. No make-up class will be offered if a student misses a class.
If the patron no longer wishes to participate in a class they are registered for, they will receive a class credit to be used on another SOFA offering within one year’s time. Registration ends the second full week of class. Classes
may be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met. For classes paid via invoice, the patron acknowledges that remaining payments must be made according to the set payment plan. The balance must be paid in full by the due date given. If payment is not paid in full by the given due date, patrons will not be able to participate in any future registrations until the outstanding balance is paid. Registration fees will not be prorated for classes missed during the session, nor will they be applied to another session. Not attending a class does NOT constitute an official withdrawal from a course or cancelation of tuition or fees.
SOFA Private Lesson Policies
Student Absence Make-Ups: Students are allowed one excused absence per session. An excused absence may be a sickness, an emergency, or a request to reschedule the lesson with over 24 hours of advanced notice. If there is more than one student absence during a session, there will be no guarantee of a make-up lesson. This includes all religious and federal holidays where the School of Fine Arts is in session. All make-up lessons are based on instructor’s availability and the instructor’s approval. All make-up lessons must occur during the session. Make-up lessons cannot be made up from a past session. Teacher Absence Make-Ups: A make-up lesson will be scheduled if an instructor is absent for a pre-scheduled lesson. Should a lesson not be possible due to availability or scheduling conflicts, a credit will be applied to the student’s BAC account.
Live Events
No refunds or exchanges will be honored once tickets have been purchased. Should the Beverly Arts Center postpone an event, the original tickets will be honored for a new date. Should the Beverly Arts Center cancel an event, full refunds will be given, minus service fees.

For the health and wellbeing of all, it is essential that individuals are in good health when attending performances, camps, private lessons, or classes at the BAC. The Beverly Arts Center follows COVID policy set by the City of Chicago Department of Health, and registration for classes and/or attendance at BAC events or gatherings is an assertion that you (and/or your child) have read and are compliant with the Beverly Art Center’s current COVID mediation policy, which is available on the BAC’s website. In registering for any School of Fine Arts offering or attending any BAC performance listed in this catalog, you (and/or your child) are asserting that you have read and agreed to this policy, and that the Beverly Arts Center has the right to remove you (and/or your child) from a SOFA or BAC offering if they find that you (and/or your child) have violated the Behavioral Policy.
