Summer Show Camp!
Beginning June 2023!
This full-day camp will provide a unique, elevated arts experience for students in rising grades Kindergarten through 8th. Students will work with arts professionals to create two productions while still enjoying the traditional arts and crafts, playtime, and teaching artist workshops that former campers know and love.
Act One begins Monday, June 12th, 2023 and ends on Friday, June 30th, 2023. Students will be assigned a group based on grade level. In the morning, campers will take classes taught by teaching artists of all disciplines (dance, music, theatre, visual arts, and more!). After lunch and recess, students will work with counselors and teaching artists to create and rehearse pieces for the Act One Revue, which will take place in the Baffes Theatre on the last day of Act One.
Pricing for Act One includes admission to the threeweek full day camp, two tickets for the Act One Revue performance, and a camp t-shirt! The Act One Revue will take place at 2:30 on June 30th.
Act Two begins Monday, July 10th, 2023 and ends on Friday, August 11th, 2023. Mornings will feature arts classes taught by teaching artists of all disciplines (dance, music, theatre, visual arts, and more!). After lunch and recess, students will work with counselors, teaching artists, and a professional performance staff to put on a fully-fledged junior musical production! Campers will be cast in a role and perform in the Baffes on the very same set being used for the BAC’s SouthSide Summer Stage production of Hello, Dolly! This production will have two ticketed performances at 2:00 on August 10th and 11th. Pricing for Act Two includes admission to the five-week full day camp, two tickets for the Act Two Musical, and a camp t-shirt!
