T A N I b G hen ThredUp Founder & CEO James Reinhart introduced Luxe, a new portal for luxury consignment, on his eightyear-old online resale site last week, it was a the result of a number factors. Reinhart had always envisioned ThredUp as a place for customers to sell their used clothing, whether it be The Gap or Chanel, but recognized that users were searching for high-end brands at record rates over the past few months. “It’s the uniqueness of the one-of-akind pieces that make you want them even more, everyone has access to ready-to-wear, but vintage feels more special,” says Fanny Moizant. I think you can make the same case around vintage and designer: it’s just a more interesting way to consume.”

But what are people really after? Here’s four designers and trends to keep your eye on now.

While the usual suspects — Chanel, Hermes, Cartier, and Rolex — are obvious, according to TheRealReal’s mid-year report that tracks spending habits amongst its customers in the first half of 2017, Gucci (no surprise) has become its fourth best-selling brand on the site. “We’re seeing the same thing happen with Gucci as we did with Celine a few years ago,” says Chief Merchant Rati Sahi. This has trickled down to more of an interest in flats in general, from Chanel to Manolo Blahnik, says Sahi. Moizant shares Sahi’s Gucci sentiment saying, “Compared to last year we have seen a 35% increase in searches for the Gucci logo belt, the re-sale value of Gucci has increased by 120% since 2014, confirming its popularity.”

Audacious 80’s style

‘90s minimalism is also having a moment. “We’ve been getting a lot of interest in original Calvin Klein because of Raf’s [Simons] move to Calvin,” says Re-See Co-Founder Sabrina Marshall (think easy knit skirts and open back dresses). Maison Martin Margiela has also seen an uptick, thanks to wunderkind Demna Gvasalia’s work at Balenciaga and Vetements explains Marie Blanchet, Vestiaire Collective’s Head of Vintage. “He’s taking huge inspiration from Margiela in such an obvious way and that suddenly has made the clothes from Margiela to be so sought after,” she says. Pieces to buy asap are any Marigela boots, including his iconic Tabi styles and runway leggings.

Anthony Vacarello’s first collections at Yves Saint Laurent is spurring a similar enthusiasm, and also sparked an interest ‘80s Azzedine Alaïa. “The leather pieces, the wide shoulders, the tiny mini, mini, mini skirts that are almost invisible length, is what Alaia used to do in the middle of the ‘80s and people want it now all over again,” says Blanchet. As for being ahead of your fellow fashion-hunting friends, Bernardin has her money on Ventian designer Roberta di Camerino, known for exquisite bags that Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor once sported. And Blanchet is betting on iconic Helmut Lang to ride that ‘90s wave and outrageous designer Claude Montana to capture a bit of the ‘80s zeal. As for the latter, Blanchet says, “You have Mr. Vacarello to thank that Claude is coming back in a big way. You just don’t know it yet.”

UGG i s re i nve n t i n g their polorazing legacy

A shoe that started out as a beachwear staple for men that grew into a cold weather must-have for women now acts as a divider in the fashion realm: It separates the business casual from the Casual Friday, the fall from winter, and — dare we say it — the «basics» from, well, the rest of us.

Name a more divisive piece of clothing than an Ugg boot. We’ll wait.

T

o understand the his-

tory of the Ugg boot and the world’s fascination with it it’s important to go back to the beginning. Little is known as to why founder Brian Smith felt sheepskin was the go-to textile for wet feet and sand, but alas, the shoe for surfers was born. Soon, the boots pierced through ski culture, and eventually, the streets. In no time, they’d receive a blessing from Oprah the talk

show host named it one of her favorite things appear in Vogue, and become the go-to for early-2000s style icons, like Paris Hilton & Britney Spears. Since then, everyone from Kendall and Kylie Jenner, to supermodels, have all been seen in them. But as brands evolve from their status of early-aughts staples to current, Ugg wants to cash in on the reputation its spent the past 40 years building via a pretty intense revamp, thanks to Decker’s new president of fashion lifestyle brands Andrea O’Donnell. She enters the West Coast fashion house from a life of working for department stores nationwide and abroad. Upon her arrival, O’Donnell tasked herself with reintroducing the legacy that attracted her to Ugg in the first place; she’s working on making the Ugg a lifestyle not just a boot.

onlyincouture

In other words: It doesn’t really matter what we think because, well, there’s always going to be something ug(g)lier. he move to reshape its four decade long reputation is a bold one, especially in a time when online shopping has seemingly replaced shopping malls, and ads are becoming one of the only way for brands to turn their expertise into profit. «We wanted to move away from that and actually be more engaging, and interesting.» To expand the conversation beyond its products and the narratives that feature them, Ugg has relied on casting high-profile musicians, actors, & sports stars, along with a slew of high-fashion collaborations, to reposition it’s place in the accessories market. An offset of this narrative comes in the form of a «Collective,» essentially its gang of West Coast art, music, and fashion savants who front said campaigns. Its debut featured the likes of artist Tasya Van Ree, model Colleen Heidemann, surfer Hanalei Reponty-Gudauskas, and more, with its sophomore follow-up featuring musicians Wyatt and Fletchers Shears, Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan, and Sonic Youth cofounder Kim Gordon, throw in a few Cali-based models. Not for nothing, the ads gain footing in this arena, featuring Ugg boots in a way we’ve never really seen before.

T

In the past two years, Ugg has also brought in Jeremy Scott and Phillip Lim to design capsule collections. “They needed to have worn and loved the brand for a long period of time, because we wanted to be able to tell authentic stories. This actually limits the number of collaborations we can do,” she says. O’Donnell believes Scott and Lim to have brought both flamboyance and edge to the brand, respectively. Scott’s visions, by the way, led to the remodeling of the Classic boot, replete with Swarovski crystal-embroidered flames. “We wanted fashion designers, not footwear designers. We wanted to connect with creative designers as opposed to leading from a celebrity perspective with the collaborations.” Despite just how experimental the future looks for Ugg, it’s not going to be easy to get past the fact that still finds them less than natural to pair with just any look.

But when asked about the ugly factor, O’Donnell maintains the best, and maybe only, outlook around. It’s with a bipartisan attitude that she takes Ugg a step forward. «I have a phrase here, which is basically: I don’t mind ugly-cool, I do mind ugly-ugly,» she explains. «I think there are a lot of iconic shoes out there that are a bit strange and unusual, but there’s something quite appealing to that imperfection and strangeness.» It’s worth noting that O’Donnell’s first Ugg sighting was on Pamela Anderson, who she spotted putting gas in her car wearing a pair of Ugg boots with white shorts. «Ugg is one of those icons that’s kind of ugly-cool, and I think that is a very special thing. I don’t mind [the hate] at all. It’s absurd, I’ve been wearing the brand for many, many, many years because of that. It stands out and is very special. There’s not much like it in the world.»

Leisure suits The latest in cozy wear, the leisure suit, is what we like to call track suit-adjacent. It’s a far cry from your typical athleisure look, with Chloé’s cozy set in suede and Ashish’s in technicolor sequins. To elevate the look (and convince yourself that it’s OK to wear sweats outside), wear them with stilettos the way Rihanna styled her show for Fenty Puma.

Vintage furs Last season, it was all about the statement fur, but for fall 2017 we’re going back to basics. No frills, just fur. Yeezy, J.W. Anderson, and Vetement all featured classic, vintage-inspired coats that looked like they were plucked from an estate sale.

Western front This season’s crop of cowboy inspired looks- including Raf Simons’ debut collection for Calvin Kleinreimagines what we think of the old-timey trend. But it’s not so quiet on the Western front, with modern takes on the steel-toed boot, leather vests, cowhide prints, and kitschy cacti.

Victorian collars This fall, you’ll be neck deep in Victorian-inspired collars. It’s the turtleneck’s fancy older sister. Brands like John Galliano and Kenzo took things in a literal way by using the Shakespearean white.

The

plus-size

REVOLUTION has begun Why is the fashion industry ignoring the plus-size market ? The short answer is: it’s not. I’m seeing tremendous change and more inclusion of diverse sizes across the industry, and as it embraces more fresh perspectives, there’s nowhere to go but up. Are we at a point where everyone in this multi-billion dollar industry is embracing all shapes and sizes ? Not yet. But we’re making progress.

16 IT’SCOUTURE

fashionreport urvy models are blazing a trail. Ashley Graham became one of this year’s most talked about models following her appearance in an advertorial for plussize swimsuit line Swimsuits For All in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue. Model Tara Lynn created a capsule collection with La Redoute for all shapes and sizes, something for everyone.

C

Anna Wintour, Franca Sozzani and Alexander Schulman have all welcomed a new look in fashion, featuring curvy models in some of the industry’s most important publications. Pioneers such as Riccardo Tisci, Stephen Gan, Rick Owens, Carine Roitfeld and Katie Grand also celebrate non-traditional models, and Steven Meisel’s 2011 Italian Vogue cover featuring voluptuous women has since become an iconic photo shoot. Brands and designers are also expanding the dialogue on beauty. I stopped dead in my tracks at the Brooklyn Museum’s Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition last year. Gaultier was sending curvaceous models down his runways more than a decade ago — he designs for and is inspired by the woman, not her size. On a recent trip to Barcelona, I was delighted to see that Mango has expanded its offerings. And Lane Bryant, one of the most established ‘go-to’ brands for diverse sizing, has taken bold steps to celebrate all shapes in a provocative new marketing campaign for its lingerie line. Consumers are demanding fashion that reflects who they are, and the industry is responding. We’re seeing change in other industries, too. Singer Meghan Trainor’s global hit celebrated “bringing booty back” and encouraged women to simply be themselves. The video for Colbie Caillat’s song “Try” featured women stripping off their makeup and freeing themselves of the constraints of being perfect. There is something in the air a

movement to be the individual you are meant to be and the fashion industry has the opportunity to inspire and lead this change. Some of the most memorable experiences from my career in the modelling world have been helping my clients break down barriers and blaze new trails on issues such as size. I would gladly march and protest for change, but having the ability to affect the industry from the inside is key. True change comes from within. At IMG Models, they are furthering the conversation around true, diverse beauty. Last year, we welcomed Ashley Graham, Danielle Redman, Inga Eiriksdottir, Julie Henderson, and Marquita Pring to IMG Models’ main board, where they joined Tara Lynn. We treat each of these women as an individual, rather than a separate plus-size division, which has opened the door to major opportunities with editors, casting directors and brands. They started to represent models ranging from sample size to plus size, from juniors to octogenarians, and everything in between. It’s the job of the model agencies to find opportunities that are right for each of them and to offer the fashion industry a truly diverse pool of talent. Finally, it’s important to acknowledge the work of Bethann Hardison, who has been a leader in the conversation on racial diversity in the modelling business. I believe that same type of introspection is now happening with sizing. Speaking with industry peers, I’ve suggested having models of various sizes walk in runway shows. I want to see what the designs look like in a sample size, as well as a size four, eight, twelve and twenty. I want to see a fashion show that features diverse models of all sizes. And I firmly believe that consumers do as well. We have made significant strides, but getting the entire industry on board will just take time, changing the traditions always take time. We must keep at it.

Let’s face it: Pulling together a chic cold-weather outfit is not easy especially when you have to pile on layers to stay warm. That said, mastering a polished winter ensemble is definitely possible if you know the right tricks and styling hacks which is where we come in !

Like earmuffs (more about those below), a knit headband is the perfect piece to stash in your purse all winter long. Another item your cold-weather wardrobe shouldn’t be without? A classic turtleneck. Pick one up in a neutral shade, and you’ll be amazed at the countless styling possibilities — from tucked in to layered under a crisp button-down or chunky cardigan.

Looking to the Cuddl Duds brand’s lineup of wardrobe essentials (think: comfy turtlenecks, super-soft leggings, and cozy accessories), we got playful with proportions, textures, and layering moves to craft four on-point outfits.

u o r leg l e v gi

s g n Black leggings are no doubt a wardrobe staple, but sometimes, it’s good to give your basics a break. Enter our favorite solution for spicing things up. Anchor your outfit with a velour pair a huge trend for fall and winter in a classic-with-atwist color like gray. Add visual interest and serious warmth by rolling a pair of chunky socks in a similar shade on top.

The single most important trick to staying warm? Keeping your head, hands, and feet toasty. Master the formula in style by throwing on a set of fun earmuffs with a long-sleeve, half-zip hoodie that offers clever thumbholes in lieu of having to wear gloves. Pair with a bright pair of track pants and simple sneakers for a weekend look that’s fashion-forward but still totally chill (proof).

oversize p u

Each is sensibly warm (because we’re not big fans of the chattering-teeth look around here) and uber-stylish — proving that when you have the right foundation pieces in place, pulling together a chic look that holds up in super-cold temps can be a piece of cake.

r e ff Though fleece has always been a cold-weather go-to, the black, fitted version seen here is more stylish and grown-up than its predecessors (while still offering the same level of warmth and comfort). Paired with minimalist leggings and textured mittens, the idea is to keep the color palette and silhouette streamlined to allow one hero piece, like this awesome oversized puffer, to stand out.

JEANS Denim and sneakers: two of our favorite things in this world. But just because we love them individually doesn’t mean they always work well together. In fact, styling the two is a little more nuanced than we would imagine. While we stand by wearing whatever the hell you’re happiest in at the end of the day, some pairings tend to look better than others.

Ah, the mom jean. A staple in almost every millennial’s (and their mother’s) wardrobe. The short of this is that just about every sneaker looks good with this pant. But if you really need a direct pick, we’d choose a classic high-top. Since a mom jean tends to be cropped or cuffed, it allows a high-top more visibility. Plus, it adds to the throwback vibe of the jean.

MARIE-ANTOINETTE

beauty

SECRETS

Marie Antoinette’s approach to beauty—labor-intensive, luxurious, and, above all, excessive—was the anti-thesis of a modern day French woman’s laissez-faire attitude. But that doesn’t make her unwavering commitment to vanity, and fabled over-the-top regimen, any less fascinating. In honor of the former Queen of France’s 262nd birthday, here, five of her centuries-old beauty secrets, from the totally outlandish to the surprisingly practical.

28

THEBEAUTYSPOT

beautysecrets

TAKE SKINCARE MATTERS INTO YOUR OWN HANDS Antoinette’s most infamous beauty practice was cleansing with Eau Cosmetique de Pigeon, which, yes, was crafted using the bird itself. According to The Toilette of Health, Beauty, and Fashion, the recipe, popularized by Danish women, included the juice of water lilies, melons, cucumbers, and lemons, as well as the crumbs of French rolls, white whine, and stewed pigeons among other curiosities. After washing up with the concoction, she’d tone her skin with her choice astringent, Eau des Charmes, made of «drops exuded by grapevines in May.» Finally, her signature face mask (which is still popular in France today) for a fresh, glowing complexion was made from two teaspoons of circulation-stimulating cognac, 1/3 cup of cell-renewing dry milk powder, brightening lemon juice, and one egg white.

INDULGE IN BATHS RITUALLY In Sophia Coppola’s 2006 film Marie Antoinette, Antoinette, played by Kirsten Dunst, can often be found de-stressing in a large white bathtub inside her decadent Versailles wash room. And it’s not a dramatization—the queen bathed frequently even though it was uncommon for the time. According to Melanie Clegg, author of Marie Antoinette: Intimate History, she would spike her bath water with skin-soothing pine nuts, linseed, and sweet almonds, as well as gently exfoliate her skin with rice bran-filled muslin pads.

TRY AN ALL NATURAL HAIR COLOR BOOST Antoinette loved all-natural, D.I.Y. elixirs for her hair, too. In fact, underneath her towering gray wigs, she was a strawberry blonde. To pull out the copper tones and increase vibrancy, she’d apply ginger-hued, plant-based ingredients such as turmeric, sandalwood, and rhubarb to her strands in paste form, says Clegg.

beautysecrets

FAKE A BEAUTY MARK During the 18th century, smallpox was a major endemic disease that left many with dark marks and deep scars on their face. In tandem with other makeup techniques, such as a veil of creamy white face powder and heavy-handed rosy rouge on the cheeks, women would conceal pock spots with faux beauty marks made of velvet or satin called mouches, in cheeky shapes such as hearts, moons, and stars. And they could convey different things based on placement. A heart shape on the right cheek indicated that you were married, for instance, while shapes near the corner of the eye denoted passion. Antoinette was said to have applied hers near the corners of her mouth to indicate she’d like a kiss.

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH FRAGRANCE During Antoinette’s reign, the Palace of Versailles, despite its arresting beauty, left much to be desired when it came to odor due to its lack of adequate bathrooms. To ensure a pleasant smelling bedroom, Antoinette would fill her space with fresh flowers and potpourri, as well as mist fragrance—she was partial to rose, jasmine, tuberose, and especially orange blossom—and apply essential oils, such as lavender, onto her body. Antoinette was also notorious for her obsession with signature fragrances, looking to French perfumer Jean-Louis Fargeon to create bespoke scents including the rose, jasmine, and bergamot blend she kept with her, even during her imprisonment in the Tower of Paris.

F E N T Y BEAUTY is changing the makeup game t’s only been a month since its debut, but Rihanna’s new cosmetic line, Fenty Beauty, is proving to be a game changer. I know, that’s a pretty bold statement for a company that hasn’t even passed its first financial quarter (which I’m sure will be joy and thanksgiving for its investors), but to be fair, Fenty Beauty is already a pretty bold shift in makeup culture. The line’s most discussed product, the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, is resonating with Black wom-

I 36

en on a level that’s more than skindeep. The line has had an outsized influence on popular culture — in particular, beauty — and yet, it is still an (unnecessary) struggle for black and deeper-skin-toned women to find makeup that matches and compliments their skin tones. The possibility of being represented within the same breadth normally reserved for paler skin tones isn’t just exciting — it’s a statement that women of color deserve complex options. It’s this simple proposition that has everyone in the beauty industry (rightfully) shook.

beautynews

o have the full range from super pale to all the beautiful darker shades… is fantastic, said James Kaliardos over email. “This speaks to girls who have felt not considered before but are a huge audience for beauty.” Kaliardos is Fenty Beauty’s Resident Artist and co-founder of influential magazine, Visionaire. Kaliardos, a 20-year-plus veteran of the industry, has been around long enough to have seen it all and has been creating backstage looks since the era of the Original Supermodels of the early 90s, working with Balenciaga, Chanel, and Yves Saint Laurent, and some of the best photographers of the 20th century, including Mario Testino, Richard Avedon and Irving Penn. He most recently created the looks for the S/S Rihanna x Puma runway looks. “I first tested the foundations on Rihanna from a lab sample case, so I wasn’t distracted by the beautiful packing, just the true working quality of Pro Filt’r itself,” Kaliardos wrote graciously at 5:30 AM, an ungodly but normal hour when prepping for a shoot. He was immediately impressed and remarked in a New Yorker article earlier this month that the quality of Fenty Beauty was so top-notch, that in creating the looks for Rihanna’s Puma S/S 2018 show he didn’t have to sneak other brand’s products, “unlike at some other shows.” Beauty brands are feeling the heat. A few weeks ago, Make Up For Ever not so subtly reminded everyone on Instagram that 40 shades was “nothing new” for the line — a dig at the celebrations surrounding the Fenty line, whose marketing strengths have led with its 40 shades of foundation. Of course, Rihanna being Rihanna, let them know how she felt. Without taking sides or casting shade, I didn’t even realize that 40 shades was a thing. (At the time of this writing, I haven’t tried either lines.) Maybe I didn’t realize that 40 shades was a standard because I’ve never seen a line carry that many shades. But I get it now. As someone who covers the politics around beauty and fashion quite regularly, there’s still so much for me to learn as well; an unexpected side effect of listening to the conversations around Fenty Beauty has been a re-education of sorts, beginning with the beauty review of the woman with albinism. It’s myopic of me, but until the tweets and the above article, I’ve never thought about how hard it is for people with the condition to find makeup that truly includes them too. And that’s just it — what make-up line has that much power to create a conversation that’s not mired in out-oftouch marketing jargon and tone-deaf apologies ?

beautynews ouTube’s top beauty vloggers too have been working overtime to keep up with the demand. Ellarie, one of the platform’s most successful faces, did a Fenty Beauty review recently. So far the views are over 88k. “As you can tell from the title, this is the Fenty Beauty Review,” she begins, “which has been one of the most requested reviews I’ve ever gotten!” “Brands were showing off their ‘diverse’ 15-shade ranges of foundation…following the launch,” says Danielle Gray of The Style and Beauty Doctor. “We’ve been complaining about the lack of diversity… for years, and here comes the Bajan princess swooping in with Fenty Beauty and became an instant game changer — love it.” As a Black woman with lighter skin, I’m always aware that while none of us are properly represented, darker-skinned Black women have it even worse. In “water is wet” news, Gray confirms this, and in emailing her, I’m realizing how bad the game really is and why Fenty Beauty matters so much. “I’d go to events for major beauty brands and there would be rows and rows of the brand’s beige and tan foundations, and nothing anywhere near my shade — not even something I could highlight with,” says Gray.

cated colors for black women were almost non-existent in America in the 1980s. “I’m surprised we didn’t crash the Concorde,” she’d half-jokingly laugh, when referring to her and other models’ bags of stash. Because black women can’t find a lot of great options for make-up that aren’t hazardous in 2017, it leaves a lucrative opportunity for companies bold and smart enough to make inclusivity as a part of their business plan. This is partly what makes Fenty Beauty an outlier. It isn’t just because the line offers “To have the full a plethora of options for an underserved and ignored demographic. It’s also because range from super it’s a celebrity line, and frankly, the bar is pale to all the beaumore about generating buzz and dollars than shifting the goal line of an industry. tiful darker shades… Celebrity lines are often seen as vanity is fantastic” and brand projects, not serious contenders within an industry, and overnight, Fenty Kaliardos. Beauty seems to be making the $80 billiona-year American beauty and personal care industry take notice. “I have seen a swift change in industry heads as they scramble to match the diverse message Fenty Beauty has launched, “ says Kaliardos. “It’s as if the roof has been blown off…I’ve never seen this kind of global excitement for a brand launch,” says Kaliardos when asked about the effect so far of Fenty Beauty. “To have the full range from super pale to all the beautiful darker shades…is fantastic,” said Kaliardos. “This speaks to girls who have felt not considered before but are a huge audience for beauty.”

for the winter

Before you know it you’ll be swapping sarongs for sweaters, espadrilles for duck boots. To help you get a jump on your new color way, we asked a few celeb colorists for their best bets for the winter.

Warm & sunny To adapt your summery surfer girl look for cooler climes, celebrity colorist Kim Vo suggest going slightly darker with a shade somezhere “between beach-y blonde and brunette.” Think Gigi Hadid’s warm blonde mane. He suggests asking for “golden highlights like the autumn leaves.”

Deep red Go for a pop of color on your head with a rich red shade, like the one Emma Stone is sporting. “It’s easy to transition brunettes to this color if they are looking to brighten it up for the winter,” says Vo. To get this red right, ask your stylist “to add warm cinnamon tones” to your hair.

Chocolate brown While Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman inspired some to hit the gym, her enviably mahogany mane is way more attainable. And Vo adds a great option for natural brunettes wanting to “enrich and spice up their color.” Deeper tones like nutmeg will take basic brown from soso to sultry.

Sweet sorbet Looking for something a little more offbeat ? Consider primary colors, says Josh Wood, Redken Global Color Creative Director. “I see the softer more pastel tones getting stronger and more bold.” Beyond the pale, these eye-catching tones are “bolder and more expressive” and the next evolution in pastels.

Silver fox Now is the time to consider going prematurely grey, according to Wood. He cites an increased demand for shades from dark slate and charcoal to pale silver and grey platinum. “There is something very contemporary about a grey hue.”

Keep a low pony from being snoozy with crisscrossed braids. First apply smoothing cream to dry strands. Part the hair around your face into four sections and pull the rest into a pony. Braid each section, then pull top braids back into the base of the ponytail and twist the bottom braids together before wrapping the ends around your pony.

Look effortlessly cool for a Saturday concert with a windswepts fichtail ! Pull hair into a loose low pony and seperate it into two sections. Put a dab of styling cream on your fingertips (it will add texture), then loosely take a small piece of hair from underneath one section and bring it over the top of the opposite side and repeat until you get to the bottom. Secure with an elastic.

Make your mall trip a bit more chic with this skinny side style. Start right above your ear and create a dutch braid. (All you have to do is thread the sections under instead of over, like you do on a french braid.) When you’ve reached the end of your hair, pin the braid behind your loose hair and finish with a spritz of shining spray.

THANK

YOU F

or our editorial class we had to make a magazine and this is the final result. This page is to thank all of the sites on internet that helped me make this school project happen. I would like to thank the web page of Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Vogue and also of seventeen magazine and allure. All of the information that I used for my articles are from

those pages. For the pictures, everything is from google itself. Some are from magazines, others are ads for clothing brands and others are pictures taken from amator photographers. I don’t have the license for the fonts I used, since it’s only a school project, it wasn’t necesary. Let me know what you’re thinking in the comment section to help me improve my editorial skills and maybe one day, work in a real editorial house. Everything in this magazine is part of a school project and will not be selled. I hope you have all enjoyed my little magazine and will continue to visit my page and support my work as a design student and a future editorial designer. XOXO, Victoire Guay.
