Introductory statement This essay investigates into how an era of globalization contemporary Graphic Design practice is reflect into British values though many formats. The media takes a huge part in it as they showcase British values by adverting them into every day life. Seeing something though media we believe mostly, as the news don’t lie therefore trusting what is spoken and adapt to that is normal by being done in habit. In contrast social media can publish anything and can become global in minuets meaning many people can see the artwork weather British or not and collect an opinion which can then be shared and influence other people from the one platform. However saying this social media can be used in a good way as the simplicity or sharing information world wide is fast and easy allowing a level of commutation border than anything. Gender equality also has an impact into contemporary Graphic design as the development of acceptance into female right has change the way design is created as well been responded too. Having free speak in England effect contemporary art as everyone can broadcast their opinion freely as other take it on board meaning all these different opinion is keeping graphic Design evolving/ developing constantly. When look at other culture, experiencing it from the outside is completely different from first hands as being able to reflect and notice how many British values we take for granted.

Quotes “Cultural globalization, a phenomenon by which the experience of everyday life, as influenced by the diffusion of commodities and ideas, reflects a standardization of cultural expressions around the world.” (The Editors of Encyclopædia Britannica ,2016) “But what are ‘British values’? According to Ofsted, ‘fundamental British values’ are: democracy the rule of law individual liberty mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.” (doingsmsc.org.uk, 2015) “So, what is contemporary design? Where are we in the vast spectrum of –isms? As expected, answers amongst our four designers varied, however...inclusion of historical references, how they relate to the “now” and comparisons to past movements were prominent.” (thedesignchannel.com, 2002) “Globalization is a historic and ongoing phenomenon which acts to open lines of communication and interaction between people of diverse cultures. Throughout time, globalization has been the process of establishing linkages between these cultures. Some of the historic landmarks in this process include territorial exploration (of both land and water), the trading of goods, and inventions such as industrial machinery, rapid transportation, and technological equipment – all of which have played major roles in linking cultures together. Currently, as people of the twenty-first century, we live in a newly globalized era that continues to redefine itself in response to recent technological advancements. These advancements give us the ability to connect with anyone anywhere in the world without ever having to leave the confines of our own home.” (Scherer, B, 2015). “When you write information or create graphics for the Web, it is important to remember that the words and images you develop might be read by people from cultures different than your own — both in other countries and within your own country. Some information and graphics might cause minor offense, while others could have major consequences.”(ibm.com, 2016)
