Studio Brief 3 Project Report

Studio Brief 1 Emil and the detect

tives Creating a book cover is something to which I personal haven’t done before and setting myself a changeling to do something new is scary but weather it went well or not I knew that I would of learnt new skill which can transfer into other briefs as well gain experiences. When starting of undertaking this brief there was few restriction on what to do and what can be seen and as this is a professional brief this is the first time I’ve had to fully check everything to make sure copyright was great. Collecting ideas was hard to start with as I’ve never read the book and didn’t want to as i wanted the cover to add mystery to the story inside and if read the book would influence my design. Once doing some research I began to gather a few ideas to what I could create. Drawing out my design I really like as I’ve not draw fully since A-level and doing that again I enjoyed. As I found my drawing fairly strong I scanned into illustrator to when I traced over it adding colour along the way and building the layers up. As I carried on with it I started to really like the cover and the more worked on it the more I enjoyed seeing it progress further. I believe that the cover still fit the brief really well for first attempted as well. If I was to come back to this I would see about developing my skills on illustrator and make it more life like with more detail in area as well make the type stand out more. Even though it was a rocky start I overall really enjoyed it and in the further look forward in developing these skills and improving to where I become faster and more efficient.

Studio Brief 1 The Saucy Fish Co

Undertaking this brief for creating packaging for the Saucy Fish Company. Packaging has been something I’ve looked forward into creating and developing. Again I picked a brief to which I had no knowledge for to test myself. This brief had a few restrictions, as they wanted it to be recyclable material as well quick and easy for the audience just to pop it in the oven. When research I became collecting a load of ideas to which my imagination got the best of me and thought of some idea to which wouldn’t be possible to create. I'm happy with product I’ve produce but still look empty in a way. As my skill in Photoshop aren’t best I didn’t know how to mock it up to look 3D which I a shame as well I haven’t learnt making ‘NET’ for packaging, meaning I had no idea how to physical make my outcome. I did challenge myself picking something I’ve never done before but I still managed to learn new skill as well I enjoyed it. If I get the chance to do packaging again I will developed it further and undertake lesson into learning making 3D product.

Working with another creative persona can be changeling as deciding on the outcome can have its complications. Saying this, working with other creative person comes with its many benefits as it allows you develop and learn new skills from each other as well have a little taster to what it would be like in working world.

Learning Photography For Studio brief 03, working with a photographer from other creative would become more of its benefits than others. As growing an interest into editorial design and publications, collaborating with a creative where I can learn from them as well progress in area wanting to explore more into as its still new. Selecting a photographer gave my more of a inside to what actually goes on behind the photography as the shoot for this took a whole day having to change outfits and make up while taking 50 images of the same position with just little changes makes a massive difference. Seeing Chloe us a camera and talking though all the different produces to go through on the actually camera before was really interesting as shooting in day light was difficult as sun is very un-predictable, therefore changing the camera setting regularly to keep the image to high standard happed a lot.

Learning about the camera in general is standard for a photo allowed a sit down editing session where seeing all the little amazing but once Chloe zoomed further she pointed out an image is blow up bigger you can see these. This was really in them was a huge deal. Editing this out the images looked th less. Being shown just a little aspect of what's goes on behind

Learning these skill, growing confidence if wanting to shoot the skill there to develop later. The finial outcome went reall they engage the audience in.

tographer but all seeing the after math of it being edited on light room. Chloe touches which you wouldn’t needed doing was happening. The image were n issues called ‘Dotting’ this where little bits of dust sits on the lens and when the nteresting as seeing something, which you didn’t even notice unless looking for he same but therefore meant when printed on high scales or zoomed in its flawd the camera made the appreciation of photographers grow further.

t something myself and create my own editorial design at some point but have ly well as it fits the brief perfectly as well the images are really strong meaning
