Ivy, the symbol of eternity, faith and loyalty, trails throughout this delicate design to represent commitment, and inspires the traditional English tones of antique green.

The intricately hand-drawn design from Victoria Eggs includes subtle nods to the King’s life; the eagle, swords, and anchor from the British Armed Forces logo, a tiny parachute, and a member of the King’s Guard, pens and paintbrushes, bees, a dragonfly and butterfly – all representing his love and support for the Arts, young people, the countryside and his life-long environmental activism.

The Oak leaf, which frames this design is a symbol of strength, stability and endurance. Whenever the King plants a ceremonial tree, he gives a branch a friendly shake to wish them well.
