D uring a recent sleepless night, I entered our
company’s name on the internet to glimpse the world’s perception of this antique-inspired trading company. To my joy, countless pages of blissful blogs gave evidence of a healthy following of old romantics out there. To you I dedicate this catalog. (This sneak preview is a very small mailing issued only to our best customers with special advance pricing.) Those “dog days” of summer are inevitably en route and muggy days only encourage us to pine for the first cold snap when we revisit our woolens. It is our intent to evoke that autumn-thrill in you with candlelit, cozy, homey and delicious notions. We’ve been squirreling away these many provisions for you in anticipation of your irrepressible glee. My mother refers to certain individuals as “old souls”... those who seemed to possess a sageness that could only be acquired through previous life experiences. Such could be said of this collection of gathered goods with a well-loved countenance. Weathered finishes and hues that seem to have been basking in a century of sunlight pair-up to praise the virtues of imperfection. “Distressed” leather, tea-stained lace and burn-out velvet are all fine elements with no apologies needed.
