RECEPTION As the entrance to the space, reception provides a first-hand look into the organic, biophilic design the office strives to incorporate. With live plants, natural materials and natural light peaking in, a world of the outdoors is found within. As a fluid, open part of the plan with openness to the space above, acoustical dropped ceilings and textiles are implemented to withdraw from undesired echoes. Curvature is expressed in the space to hint at the concept of free-flowing forms, creating a sense of calmness and creativity as one enters the design.

THE WORLD WITHIN With a company so indulgent in exploring creative minds and ideas, a space was created to enhance the ingenuity of such an energetic corporation. A therapeutic environment is achieved through the use of comfortable soft seating placed in common areas for exploring collaboration. Natural materials are used to enhance a connection with the outdoors. With close proximity to all areas of the design, employees are offered the opportunity to relocate to this space throughout their workday. A chance for interaction or independent creation, a world of ingenuity is created within one of its own.

CONFERENCE As an enhancement of biophilic design, the conference space indulges employees and visitors to a world of simple creation. Live plants and natural materials and forms are used to carry a sense of the outdoors into the room, promoting creativity and relaxation. An acoustical dropped ceiling allows for collaboration and ingenuity without the limitations of feeling too loud and uneasy. The space is located towards the front of the plan to allow potential visitors and clients the ability to still see the space, but not disrupt working employees.

WORK CAFE A place for a multitude of activities: collaboration, focused working, meetings, refreshing or refueling, the work cafe compensates for a large part of the plan. Organic forms are introduced through acoustical dropped ceilings to minimize sound disruption. A custom coffee and juice bar was designed to draw users into the space to mix work with refreshment.

E N C L AV E S Whether it be long-term or short-term, enclaves provide a space for serenity in the workplace. Biophilic design is translated through live plant walls, organic patterns, natural materials such as stone and wood, as well as incorporation of natural light through all parts of the space. Mixed throughout the design, enclaves are the epitome of freedom in the workplace. These soft seating areas allow employees to move from place to place in the office, without being tied down to a single desk.
