Welcome to Vida Brands It has been a labor of love to grow this dynamic business from a small trading company, founded in 1973, to an industry leader that now features more than 15 exciting brands across adult and children’s markets. With these brands, we service every channel of retail distribution, from the most upscale department stores to discount chains to single store independent retailers. In the children’s market, we are leaders with heritage brands Carter’s and Oshkosh B’Gosh, fashion brand Hanna Andersson, outdoor fashion brands JambuKD and M.A.P. and the newly relaunched Step & Stride brand. In the adult market we are leaders with upscale brands Andre Assous, Nanette Lepore, and Esprit, outdoor comfort brands Jambu, JBU, and J Sport, and junior brands XOXO, Kensie, Unionbay and Pastry. ndré Assous is a Euro-American shoe designer, artist, civil engineer, and founder of André Assous.

nown as the “King of Espadrilles” in the fashion footwear industry, André designed and engineered the iconic handsewn espadrille shoe that became a fashion statement in the 1970s. He developed and defined the espadrille market with his first style, Pamela.

We travel the world, and use the most extensive trend forecasting and material resources for inspiration. Our developers and fit technicians are highly skilled at both building quality product and managing production. Sourcing and Quality Control Over more than 40 years, Vida has developed an extensive international network of manufacturing facilities and material vendors. We work to maintain continuity with our sourcing network in order to improve our quality standards from year to year. Business Planning Vida assists in the development of business plans by using an aggressive, proactive approach of analysis. By developing plans, tracking sales, and continuously monitoring margins, we are able to develop flexible in season strategies to ensure all goals are achieved. Our planning methods are used in our wholesale business as well. We plan our mark-up, sales, inventory, and gross margin by brand and season. These are continuously monitored against the business plans, and adjustments are made to make certain we achieve our business objectives.
