Who we are A bit of our History
I
n 2009, Luis Morales, Pastor of Vida Real Internacional, began to embark in a journey in means of helping children whom lived in third world countries. Not knowing where this journey would lead, he was presented with an opportunity to visit a Dominican-Haitian community in a town called Barahona located in The Dominican Republic. As he traveled throughout the community he witnessed the immense poverty that those of the community lived under. He was informed that the average person received about $2.50 a day working in the sugar cane ďŹ elds. Amongst those in the community were about 265 children who were orphans. These children lived helplessly under these poverty stricken conditions and lacked the most basic necessities such as food and water. Compelled to help the community, he was able to provide food that would contribute to the health of the children. In addition to his travels, Morales was also able to visit another orphanage located in Haiti. This orphanage that housed about 100 children was also in much need for the most basic necessities in life. Pastor Luis Morales was also able to help feed these children. Additionally, the ministry Vida Real Internacional, decided to help the orphanage by sponsoring the children. Feeling compassion and empathy towards the children in need, he decided to continuously help the children, in means of offering the things that there community or country could not. In 2010, the massive earthquake stuck Haiti, leaving the country devastated and in need of help. Pastor Luis Morales travelled to Haiti in means of helping the local churches and orphanages. After witnessing such devastation in Haiti he was led by the lord to help the children of need in El Salvador and therefore founded Hearts of Life, the organization created in means of helping the impoverished in third-world countries. With headquarters located in Boston and ofďŹ ces located in El Salvador; Hearts of Life is determined to work internationally with others who share the same vision as Luis Morales. Currently in El Salvador, Hearts of Life is feeding about 650 kids in the local areas and is continuously working on improving the lives of other children worldwide.

Feeding
Needy
the
Hearts of
Life
Currently Hearts of Life is feeding 662 children from families who live in distinct parts of the Santa Ana region. These children were selected amongst a large pool of other families, whom also faced great poverty. Those families whom lack accessibility to clean water and whom have no location to store their perishable food are those whom face extreme poverty and are the families that Hearts of Life seeks to help. Each Month Hearts of Life transports these families to the Hearts of Life central ofďŹ ce in Santa Ana and provide them with rice, water, beans and other non-perishable goods for their family. On occasions Hearts of Life also donates toys to the children whom are a part of these families and also materials for their school needs.

PROVIDING
HOMES FOR HOMELESS
Hearts of Life seeks to work on projects that would provide homes for the homeless. There are many families in El Salvador whom live in rural areas who live under scrap metal and lack the basic necessities that are needed in a home. Therefore, Hearts of Life continues on seeking opportunities that will be of a blessing to families who do not have a home. We believe that we can create a difference in the lives of many by providing the adequate shelter that any family should have. As of now, the mayor has donated 90 lots of land worth at least 4k each to start building.

Digging
WELLS
In El Salvador, building wells have a different process rather than other wells in other countries. Hearts of Life works with a local company that is willing to drill wells for $100 dollars a meter. The regular price with other companies varies from $125 to $150. in adition, the city will pay for the diesel. Our organization is committed to ďŹ nd the help that is needed to build these wells to provide clean and safe drinking water to the people in need.
