MY PREVALENTINE HIDEAWAY We finally picked out Mui Ne Beach from the longest list ever of many nice and romantic places in Vietnam as our hopeful destination for this preValentine hideaway. Reached Mui Ne at late 11pm, though really got tired after 5 hours on the bus, we were so Happy to indulge ourselves in all facility and the wonderful set up resort with much of privacy that we want for a Hideaway, Blue Ocean resort which a sales girl at Asiana Travel Mate, a Vietnam Local Tour operator had highly recommended to me. I was woken up by the sunlight shining through the wooden blind and the laughter of children who, as I guessed, were running happily on the beach. Opening the door to welcome all the natures go into the eyes, I knew this was definitely a right decision to get here for a Valentine with the most relaxing and happy time with my sweetheart. The resort was so nice with the restaurant viewing the white sand beach, which aroused us so much. Mui Ne boasts shady roads under coconut trees, a beautiful beach and cliffs batters by the waves of the sea. Mui Ne beach is shallow and sloped. It is so clean that we can lie there freely and enjoy sunbathing. We visited Sand Dunes (called “Doi Cat” by the local), which has been a source of creativeness and inspiration of many artistic photographers and painters. I loved to slide down the dunes from the top by a “sledge”. The kids at the sand dunes did offer to take photos for us in the friendliest way ever, and then they gave out the things they hold in their skinny hands (we did not know their exact name in English, but later I learnt from one friend, she called them “sledge”, haha, I was The Santa Claus on the sledge borrowed from those kids). We paid 10,000 dongs for each sledge. It was a good deal, wasn’t it? Some people told me that they cheated tourists in that way, but I didn’t think so. They, like us, have to earn for their living, yet the most different thing is that they start earning from the very early years. I loved those kids as they were so cute and smart in the way they persuaded people to use their service. My second favorite is the Fairy Spring (or Suoi Tien) which is a small stream threading through red sandy cliffs. However we didn’t have too much time to explore that place. See you in my next visit, my beloved Fairy Spring! Yeah Mui Ne has long been considered the Hawaii of Vietnam, which is a best place to relax and enjoy life. I was happy and satisfied ever with my preValentine holiday! Written by Jane
