 Despite being the easternmost country in Southeast Asia, Vietnam attracts tourists from various parts of the world.  The international visitors love to explore the breathtaking landscape on Vietnam, indulge in exquisite cuisines, and participate in a variety of exciting activities.  At the same time, the holidaymakers can experience a pleasant and comfortable stay in the country without spending a lot of money.

However, often international visitors find it a difficult to explore all the popular tourist destinations and places in Vietnam within a short span of time.  Therefore, you should include these places in your travel book check list before planning to go out.

Most Popular Places in Vietnam Ha Long Bay  Ha long Bay is a beautiful natural wonder in northern Vietnam located about 80 miles east of Hanoi in northern Vietnam.  The aqua-green water and limestone rocky outcrops rising from the water make the bay look distinct and attractive.

 The international tourists love to explore over 2000 islands with varying features. Most of these islands are covered with jungle.  Also, some of these islands feature lakes, sinkholes, grottoes or intriguing caves. After spending time in Ha Long Bay, many visitors feel like reliving a fantasy story.

Hanoi  Along with being the capital city of reunified Vietnam, Hanoi is also popular due to its historical architecture.  Despite frequent bombings during the War, the historical architecture of the city has remained intact.  Most visitors love to spend some time at the open-air museum of historic Asian and French colonial architecture.

 Also, they explore the Presidential Palace, Grand Opera House, Saint Joseph Cathedral, Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Temple of Literature and other prominent sites it Hanoi, along with browsing local markets and sipping sip coffee at quaint cafes.

Hue  Hue Vietnam is often a stopping point for those travelers making there from North-South or South-North. Many tourists make a stop for a day or two to look at the ancient city.  Hue is located on the banks of the Perfume River in Central Vietnam. Once upon a time, Hue was the imperial capital of the Nguyen dynasty.  But the region has retained the culture, architecture and cuisine of the bygone era despite the passage of time. So, the international tourists visit Hue to see monuments, ornate temples, grand palaces, walls and gates.

Sapa  Sapa is a lovely hill station town in Northern Vietnam near the Chinese border.  The region as also known as “the Tonkinese Alps” and it’s culturally rich with different hilltribe minorities, lush mountain ranges, rice fields and an overall, breathtaking views! Once there, you’ll easily understand what the hype is all about.

 Shops selling tobacco, trekking clothes and souvenir crafts from the hill tribes will help you burn your dong, but nothing beats a good massage!  The town is completely walkable but if you want to explore outside of town, it’s best to do it by motorbike if you can.
