Viewfinder Photography Gallery
The Viewfinder is currently creating the Thames Trail: an interactive photowalk with an accompanying phone app that encourages the local community and visitors to explore the industrial, shipbuilding and trading heritage of Greenwich, from its 19th century heyday to the present. The photowalk will launch in June 2013, with the resources available online until at least 2018. The project is being funded by a £16,400 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). Between the first exhibition in November 2005 and the most recent in January 2012, the Viewfinder has also delivered 65+ photography-based exhibitions to provoke and expand image making and discussion and 70+ workshops and events, including an outreach series, to engage the community. In May 2011, the Viewfinder closed its physical gallery space and began an exciting programme of pop-up exhibitions and events. The Viewfinder is a registered charity
