•  Eligible Applicants: Public School Districts, Charter Schools, County Offices of Education, and State Special Schools •  Eligible Projects: Energy efficiency measures and/ or clean energy installations at a school site •  All facilities within a school site including: classrooms, office facilities, auditoriums, multipurpose rooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, kitchens, pools, and special purposes areas 2

Comprehensive Energy Efficiency Program for Existing Buildings (AB 758, Skinner, Chapter 470, Statutes 2009) • Program Objective: Improve energy efficiency in California’s existing buildings, particularly those built before the first Building Energy Efficiency Standards were published in 1978.

Comprehensive Energy Efficiency Program for Existing Buildings, Continued • Energy Commission staff presented the Draft Action Plan in June 2013 and received over 50 comments from stakeholders. • Staff are revising the action plan to incorporate the comments and include focused and realistic goals and strategies. • A workshop to present the revised plan is scheduled for fall 2014.

Home Energy Rating System (HERS) •  New mandatory requirements for 2013 Energy Standards – New forms and data registry requirements that require registration of residential forms. – Energy Commission has approved 1 provider and is reviewing the applications of other providers.

Acceptance Testing Technician Certification Program (ATTCP) •  New requirements for 2013 Energy Standards for Lighting and Mechanical Acceptance Testing for Nonresidential Buildings •  Industry Certification Threshold Report for Lighting submitted by the California Advanced Lighting Control Training Program (CALCTP) and is under review by the Energy Commission
