San Joaquin Valley Partnership Program January 2014 Focus: San Joaquin Valley kWh and peak kW reductions This Month’s Major Accomplishments: • The Implementing Partner hosted the annual VIEW! the Success Luncheon to recognize jurisdictional partners and the success of the Partnership as a whole. This even was previously held in late November. Holding this event in January as opposed to November brought more attendees, including County Supervisors from Kings and Tulare and members of the CPUC. The VIEW Partnership will continue to hold this annual event in January to kick off the new year. • SJVCEO Executive Director, Courtney Kalashian met with Joseph Oldham, the new Statewide EE Coordinator, to discuss partnership efforts and ways to highlight partnership successes. • SJVCEO Executive Director, Courtney Kalashian, attended the LGC CC LGP Meeting in Paso Robles. • SJVCEO Project Analyst, Sarah Farell, attended the ASE Energy 2030 event at the SCE Energy Education Center in Irwindale. Key Issues or Emerging Concerns: • The new version of Energy Star Portfolio Manager has caused some issues with the benchmarking process. The Implementing Partner is working with SCE and Bob Levine to determine the best way to work around this new version and successfully set up an automated benchmarking system. Upcoming Milestones • The partnership will have a booth at the Visalia Earth Day Event in early May. The Implementing Partner will meet with the City of Visalia to plan this event and the utilties’ participation. • The next monthly Partnership meeting will be February 20, 2014.
