San Joaquin Valley Partnership Program March 2014 Focus: San Joaquin Valley kWh and peak kW reductions This Month’s Major Accomplishments: • The monthly partnership meeting was held on March 20th at the Tulare County Government Plaza. This was the first meeting with the new Partnership meeting format: the Implementing Partner and IOU Program Managers met for the first hour and the jurisdictional partners joined for the second hour. • Implementing partner reviewed Direct Install Municipal Projects for the City of Visalia and researched project opportunity at the City of Tulare. • SJVCEO Executive Director, Courtney Kalashian, participated in the SEEC V Advisory Committee. • SJVCEO Executive Director, Courtney Kalashian, met with the City of Visalia and the three utilities to determine the possibility of developing an Energy Lounge at the City’s Public Library. • SJVCEO Executive Director, Courtney Kalashian, participated as a Partnership representative at the Manufacturing, Energy, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) Committee meeting to share opportunities for EE programs with other industries in the VIEW Partnership region. She also participated as a Partnership Representative to the Clean Energy Cluster to promote Partnership efforts and programs. Key Issues or Emerging Concerns: • SJVCEO Executive Director, Courtney Kalashian, discussed Direct Install rollout roadblocks in the SCE service territory with Greg Haney and Matt Garcia of SCE. This included follow up efforts, such as the identification of conflicting efforts and communication to Partnership Management Team. • SJVCEO Executive Director, Courtney Kalashian, identified project opportunities at the City of Tulare’s Waste Water Treatment Plant. This included further correspondence with SCE Account Reps regarding reported information and actual opportunity. • Implementing Partner corresponded with the SCG Program Manager regarding CISR form processes. There are two forms available and not all three utilities use the same one. Upcoming Milestones • The next monthly Partnership meeting will be April 17, 2014. • The Implementing Partner sent new CISR forms for 2014 to all VIEW jurisdictional partners in preparation of obtaining current energy usage data. • SJVCEO Program Administrator, Sarah Farell, is continuing to draft an Energy Action Plan for the City of Farmersville. • The Implementing Partner set a date for the 2015 VIEW! the Success Partnership Luncheon.
