To be part of FOLIO, we wanted to crEATe something very special and unseen. A cookbook would have been wonderful, but not new. Whilst thin king about cookbooks and Chefs, about literature, books and words, we began to question how to combine words, books and Chefs. Maybe a cooked book.

After a wonderful meal at the Chef ’s table with Ivity’s design team, we got it: Every dish has its very own story, which is written by the Chef. So every Chef in the world is a writer. His words are the wonderful ingredients offered to him by nature, the cooked ingredients make the story, the menu is the Chef ’s book, written mostly with love.

The cooked book project is a visual experiment played from the heart of Vila Joya’s two-Michelin star kitchen to honour all the Chefs in the world, who write the story of Gastronomy every single day.

In the kitchen of man’s imagination the most important ingredients of cr-EAT-ivity are the flavour of beauty and wisdom of love.


The Sea. The Garden. The Gem. There is a special piece of land and sea under the sun of Portugal’s south coast, at Galé Beach, in the heart of the Algarve, between Albufeira and Armação de Pêra, which cannot be framed by words. It is a rare villa called Joy, a jewel created in the heart’s eyes of a German couple. Klaus and Claudia Jung saw Portugal’s most magical moonlight on this beach and, in the course of their lives, created what has been considered the world’s best boutique hotel since 2007. In this cosmic convergence, in this rare piece of land, managed nowadays with the care and creative energy of their daughter Joy, Vila Joya is not only one of the world’s most exclusive boutique hotels, with a wonderful Spa or the first restaurant in Portugal with two-Michelin stars, it is a rare place of encounter where various cultures meet, with the sole mission of touching people, adding challenges of joy and beauty to the beauty of the world. This is the real sense of cr-EAT-ivity at Vila Joya, which transforms itself once a year into an immeasurable laboratory of gastronomic feelings.

On this flight of tasteful intensity, ivity founders Carlos Coelho and Paulo Rocha are proud to have been contributing with brand creation as a holistic nutricional ingredient for the Portuguese economy, over the last 30 years.
