Dear Reader

As we enter our 41st year as a business we have so much to be thankful for. As a community we have helped each other get through a very tough time in our planet’s history. The pandemic is not over. Worldwide, we have a long way to go. It is encouraging that we are able to get vaccinated and start to see some light at the end of this very long and topsy-turvy tunnel. A gargantuan thank you to nurses, doctors, and scientists that have helped us all get here.

We have been lucky to be able to hire a new group of people that are excited and ready to help you. Being able to employ people in our community is very important to us. A community where we can work and live is healthy for all of us. Throughout this issue of the Chuckanut Reader we have highlighted all of our staff along with their favorite summer book. We hope you enjoy seeing their smiling faces and that you find a book just perfect for your summer reading.
