C Thai Yoga STreTCh WorKShop Sunday, October 1 | 1:30 – 3:30 pm Thai Yoga Massage, often referred to as “lazy man’s yoga,” is an ancient healing art and serves as the source of inspiration for Thai Yoga Stretch. Both energizing and relaxing, Thai Yoga Stretch focuses on balancing the flow of energy in the body. It is a dynamic practice incorporating acupressure, energy line work, myofascial release techniques, and assisted stretching. Join us in this “learn by experiencing” (watching, feeling, and doing) workshop with Beri Golding and Penny McAlpin. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. No experience necessary. CDGO hoTShoTS memorial hiKe in Yarnell Saturday, October 7 | 6:30 am 7.4 mile intermediate to advanced hike In June, 2013 a lightning strike wildfire happened in the mining community of Yarnell, AZ leading to a shocking tragedy in which 19 hotshot firefighters lost their lives. The Hotshots Trail is a 7+ miles round trip through the Weaver Mountains with a 1,200 elevation gain. At 600 foot intervals, 19 memorial granite plaques share the story and photos of each Hotshot.

A portion of all proceeds, and any/all additional donations made by our participants, will be donated to Phoenix Children's Hospital. Don’t forget about our TroonFIT Run Series Drawing. At each event all participants will receive 10 series points just for finishing the race. Additional points will be awarded for top 10 finishers of each gender and top 5 finishers in each age group. We will meet at Gainey Village at 6:30 am to carpool to the hike. It’s about a 75-minute drive. The hike will take about 2.5 to 3 hours and we will stop for lunch afterwards. In this fun filled class we will look at how to challenge new muscles in familiar asana. Make sure your child/children brings a swimsuit, spray sunscreen, and a water bottle every day.
