A new cannabis dispensary business is coming to Wildomar. The Wildomar City Council voted Jan. 13 to approve a retail cannabis business operated by Current Veterans South, LLC. The veteran-oriented business will operate in a more than 3,000-square-foot retail space in the Bear Valley Plaza shopping center on Clinton Keith Road, west of Palomar Street. As the business is outside of the 100-foot minimum distance from a residential zone and the 600-foot minimum distance from a school, park, day care or youth center, the business meets Wildomar’s requirements for cannabis businesses. The development agreement approved by the city for the business has a term of 20 years. It

Lake Elsinore child helps raise $3,000 to donate to Cops for Kids Lexington Howe STAFF WRITER

Dave Fontneau, executive director of Cops for Kids, recognized the volunteer work of a young child, Reece Walsh, at the Lake Elsinore city council meeting Tuesday, Jan. 26. “I was approached in the fall by Reece’s grandmother. She had a very interesting story about Reece wanting to give back during these trying times and just didn’t know what to do,” Fontneau said. “Reece, on her own, reached out to her teacher, along with several friends and came up with her own campaign to help those in need.
