Hosted by Russell Kitchen, the special Valentine’s Dance fundraiser held at the Anza Community Hall, Saturday, Feb. 10, was a sweetheart of an adventure for all that attended. There was even a selfie photo booth with props, much to the delight of partygoers. “It was awesome; everyone had a great time,” Kitchen said. The celebration was sponsored by Heritage Well Service, the Cahuilla Casino and the Soil Kitchen. All proceeds were donated to Kids of Anza, Kitchen’s own charity that

The Anza Valley Municipal Advisory Council hosted its second Cannabis Emergency Regulation Committee meeting at the Anza Pizza Factory Saturday, Feb. 10. The CERC strives to help the AVMAC advise 3rd District Supervisor Chuck Washington’s office of the cannabis regulations that will best suit the Anza and Aguanga areas. “The advisory council’s purpose is exactly that, to advise. It cannot advise properly and objectively if it is ill informed,” AVMAC member and CERC Chair Edison GomezKrouse said. “The committee seeks to study the situation with looming regulatory changes on behalf of the board of supervisors. We are an assistance tool for the supervisor.”
