Debbie Ramsey Managing Editor A missing persons case that began on October 4 came to an unfortunate end on Wed., Nov. 26 when the remains of 75-year-old Sally Estabrook of Fallbrook were found in Julian. According to San Diego County Sheriff’s Homicide Lt. John Maryon, a maintenance worker found the partial skeletal remains of the Alzheimer’s patient about 3:20 p.m. that day in heavy shrubbery on Coulter Ridge Drive, about a half-mile away from the Pinezanita RV Park and Campground where she was last seen. According to Maryon, the San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office was able to positively identify the remains as those of Sally Estabrook on Thurs., Nov. 27. “An autopsy is still pending by the Medical Examiner’s Office to

On a countywide basis, the San Diego County Water Authority rates for 2015 will increase by 2.9 percent for untreated water and 2.6 percent for treated water. The SDCWA board adopted its calendar 2015 rates and charges, including each agency’s share of pro-rata assessments for charges other than water purchases, onJune 26while also extending the Transitional Special Agricultural Water Rate through the end of 2015. “This is one of the smallest increases we’ve seen in the past decade,” said CWA financial planning manager David Shank.
