Diss Golf Club has undergone a huge renovation over the past six months to transform the clubhouse into a modern and stylish facility, which is improving the customer experience and driving further revenue to the club. The new clubhouse is now an even more friendly and welcoming environment in which to relax and socialise. It features a state-of-the-art bar area, stylish restaurant and chill-out space, which includes a 75-inch TV and incorporated sound system. John Doe Carpets & Furniture Limited helped make the dream a reality and carried out all refurbishment work for the bar, restaurant and golf shop, as well as providing all flooring, furniture, lighting and accessories. Diss Golf Club’s facilities are fully adaptable and their in-house team is experienced in holding a wide range of events, from corporate golf days and parties to business meetings and wakes. A vital cog in the local community, Diss Golf Club creates a place for people to socialise, play the wonderful game of golf and enjoy the scenic surroundings. They regularly welcome new members, visitors, societies and corporate golf groups at their beautifully presented but challenging heathland course, which is built on sandy, free draining soil for quality all-year-round play. The signature 13th hole will always be a ‘happy to par’ hole.

Friends are reunited

Norwich Theatre is relaunching its Friend Scheme to include, for the first time, all three Norwich Theatre venues: Norwich Theatre Royal, the Playhouse and Stage Two. The scheme enables people to enjoy discounts and priority booking while supporting the arts in Norfolk.

The entry-level into the Friends Scheme costs £25 a year, with benefits including priority booking, half-price first night dramas and discounts on up to four tickets per show, plus a 10% discount on food and drink. It’s a lower entry price than any other theatres in the region. For those looking for further offers and a closer connection to Norwich Theatre, the Best Friend tier at £50 a year includes invitations to Friends Nights at the Theatre, double the discounted ticket allocation at eight per show and half-price first night on drama and more. The scheme retains its top tier, Gold Friend, at £150 a year for those who want a deeper relationship with Norwich Theatre, supporting the charity’s creative community work in Norfolk and engagement projects with local people. Chief Executive and Creative Director of Norwich Theatre, Stephen Crocker, said: “The income raised by our Friends Scheme ensures we can provide the best service to our customers, providing a high-quality digital service as well as over the phone and in person, at a time when many theatres are closing their box office counters. I really enjoy meeting all our friends and would like to thank all who support us in this way.”
