Dawn to dusk

Choose yourfavouriteviewofthe meadow andoverthe courseofa dayvisitthatspotthreetimes to capturehow themeadowlooks atdawn, noon anddusk,using photographs or sketches.Think aboutthechanginglight,the people whousethemeadow, theanimals, or theway theriver looksatdifferenttimesofday. From here youcan developyour favourite, or createatimelineof three.

Themeadowoffers wonderful inspiration,fromsweeping landscapes to thetiniest creatures. Forthis activity,try to ‘zoomin’ on minutedetail,such astheveins on aleaf,orfrost on abranch.

Use collage

Choose aphoto ofthemeadow that youloveand then recreate itincollage.Maybematch the colourswithsnippetsfrom old magazines, or combinematerial andpaint fora mixed mediaeffect.

Create ajunksculpture

Agreat onefor allthefamily. Raidyourrecycling binfor boxes, bottlesandshiny things and createasculpturetorepresent themeadow;perhapsthenailbiting tension oftheduckrace, or thetranquillityofanearly morning g walk.
