Walk Norfolk 2022 is being organised by Norfolk-based charity Pathmakers, who are dedicated to improving access to the Norfolk countryside for people of all abilities and backgrounds. Improving countryside access will enable communities to get outdoors and connect with nature, which in turn will have a positive impact on their health and wellbeing.

The walking month has received support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Norfolk County Council, Geovation, and Norfolk Local Access Forum. A number of organisations have joined up as partners, including Vision Norfolk, West Norfolk Deaf Association, Musical Keys, Plover Rovers, Nansa, The Brecks Fen Edge & Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme, MONUMENT Project, Norwich Fringe project and many others.

Mr. David Atthowe, Walk Norfolk 2022 Coordinator at Pathmakers says: “We are really excited to be bringing an access friendly month of walking activities to Norfolk. This is something really unique that has never been tried before. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of walking and getting outdoors as one of the greatest gifts we can share.”
