Sheboygan County has moderately priced homes with a 2007 median sale price of $140,000. Meanwhile, the median sale price for homes in southeast Wisconsin in 2007 was $184,400, or 31 percent higher than the median sale price in Sheboygan County.

Sheboygan County is home to many art and cultural amenities. Below are just a few venues to illustrate the area’s commitment to the arts.

Wade House Stagecoach Inn & Wesley Jung Carriage Museum includes eight historical buildings, nature trails, picnic areas, famous carriage collection and museum, all in a designated National and State Historic Site. This is one of 10 Wisconsin State Historical Sites. The Sheboygan County Museum complex includes four buildings that show

The Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts is listed as an historic landmark theater and provides a majestic performing arts venue for residents and visitors. The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is a nationally acclaimed visual and performing arts complex located in downtown Sheboygan. The center supports a wide variety of educational programs, artistic displays, performing arts productions and hosts Festive Fridays.

Sheboygan’s history from 1850-1900. A recent addition of 20,000 square feet features seasonal displays, temporary exhibits, classroom and the museum store. Changing exhibits include Indian history, ice harvesting, maritime, circus, local sports, medical pharmaceutical, early agricultural and related trades.

Plymouth Arts Center is the premier art destination in Western Sheboygan County. The Plymouth Arts Center supports and encourages all forms of art and related cultural activities such as drama/theatre, music, dance, visual, education classes and is home to Gallery 110 North.

Above & Beyond Children’s Museum has been operating from its three-story historic location on 8th Street for the past 10 years, enriching thousands of children’s lives with its variety of programs and events. Sheboygan Theatre Company has a mission to produce quality community theatre involving diverse participants and audiences in a broad range of theatrical opportunities that entertain and educate. The Sheboygan Theatre Company’s season includes five shows and a show on the 4th of July. Sheboygan Theatre Company is one of the oldest and largest community theatre organizations in the nation, celebrating 75 years in 2010. The purpose of the Aviation Heritage Center of Wisconsin is to foster knowledge in science, technology, engineering and math through the world of aviation and the history of Sheboygan flight. Spaceport Sheboygan is a unique center housing a museum, simulators, planetarium, and robotics labs under the name the Great Lakes Aerospace Science & Education Center (GLASEC). The spaceport also runs the Rockets for Schools program and is a satellite NASA Educator Resource Center. Spaceport Sheboygan is more than just a

Lakeshore Technical College Lakeshore Technical College’s (LTC) mission is to enrich lives and strengthen the economy by preparing a workforce that is skilled, diverse and flexible. LTC offers 89 career programs including associate degrees, technical diplomas, technical certificates and apprenticeship programs. Lakeland College Lakeland College is a four-year independent liberal arts institution, which is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Lakeland’s academic divisions include business administration, education, natural sciences, creative arts, humanities and social sciences. Within these divisions Lakeland has 35 major academic programs. Lakeland College offers four master’s degree programs in education, business administration Counseling, and theology.

University of WisconsinSheboygan The University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan is Sheboygan County’s local UW System institution and offers one of the lowest tuition rates in the state. The campus offers the essential foundation courses to prepare you for transfer to a bachelor’s degree program in almost any field you choose. You can earn your Associate of Arts and Science here, as well as several onsite bachelor or master degrees through collaborative programs with other universities such as engineering, education, special education, nursing and more.

Marquette-Kohler MBA Program A unique program, offered in conjunction with the Kohler Company, but not limited to Kohler employees. Qualified candidates from all corporations may participate. Marquette University is offering its same high-quality, nationally-ranked MBA Program at the Inn on Woodlake (part of The American Club campus).

K-12 Sheboygan County encompasses nine public school districts educating 19,369 students served through 56 schools. The largest district is the Sheboygan Area with 27 schools including elementary, middle, high and charter schools. The citizens of Sheboygan have a long tradition of pride in our community, our schools and our quality of life. The Sheboygan Area School District is a 10-time winner of the “What Parents Want Award� for having the qualities parents most often look for in a school system. The district has also consistently been ranked highly in the nation by Expansion Management magazine, a monthly business magazine for executives of companies that are actively looking for a place to expand or relocate. The area is also serviced by parochial schools, both non-denominational and religious learning opportunities.

Road America in 2011 and continues to draw crowds yearly. A full summer brings top car and motorcycle racing punctuated by the mid-summer event, The Hawk with Brian Redman, featuring art-on-wheels, one-of-a-kind vintage race cars and more.

Golf Golf courses in Sheboygan County have hosted the 1998 and 2012 U.S. Women’s Open, the 2004 and 2010 PGA Championship, the 2007 U.S. Senior Open and are slated to host the 2015 PGA Championship and 2020 Ryder Cup. Sailing Sheboygan is home to one of only four U.S. Sailing Centers and hosted the 2011 International Sailing Foundation’s Nations, Cup Grand Final. Racing NASCAR returned to Sheboygan County with the Nationwide Series at Elkhart Lake’s

Sheboygan County offers two hospitals located in the city of Sheboygan: Aurora Memorial Medical Center and St. Nicholas Hospital. Both hospitals are fullservice and include emergency rooms. Both heath systems are supported with centers throughout the county. St. Nicholas Hospital has partnered with Prevea Health Care to provide its outreach care.
