Dear Friends, I am pleased to bring you the Real Estate Market Report for August, keeping you in the know and up to date on the latest activity and trends in the communities we serve in South Santa Barbara County and Santa Ynez Valley. I am happy to report that August sales have taken a jump. The number of closed sales in August was the highest of the year, and also the highest for August sales in the last 6 years. Inventory is up and there are more choices for buyers. The median price is slowly increasing, showing the strength of the cycle and that there is potential for this strong trend to continue. The median home price has increased about 50% from the low point in 2008. Village Properties agents are strongly committed to giving our clients the highest quality service. We know how much this is appreciated, and it was no surprise to us that this August we were once again voted the #1 Real Estate Company in the Newspress Reader’s Choice Awards.


Not only do we take our work very seriously, but at Village Properties we also know how to support our local community while having fun at the same time.
