Dear Friends, Fall in Santa Barbara is certainly a beautiful season. Bright, sunny blue skies with warm daytime temperatures cooling down to crisp, clear evenings are the norm in our town during this time of year. The real estate selling season typically slows during the fall, but sellers who are realistic, understand the market and how to price and prepare their homes for sale, will have no trouble selling their homes. We are thankful that the Santa Barbara, Ventura and Santa Ynez Valley real estate markets are still robust. The median home price continues to stay steady with a 2% annual increase over the past 5 years. We are confident that buyers can act with confidence and that the Santa Barbara and Ventura County markets are safe places to invest in. We were joined by over 200 guests for a grade school inspired Pizza Party and Ice Cream Social at our Santa Barbara office courtyard. Together we were able to raise over $51,000 for our local teachers and we sincerely thank all of our sponsors who helped to make this such a success. Fun Fact: Although 50% of buyers found their home through an Internet search, 90% used a real estate agent to navigate through the transaction (a share that has steadily increased from 69% in 2001).
